My girlfriends sister has dissolving klonopin and ive been wondering what the best way to take that is. Do you put it under your tongue for a sub-lingual roa? Or dissolve it in water OR just swallow it and it kicks in quick regardless seeing it dissolves the instant it hits your throat/stomach

are you talking about the wafers? Just out of curiosity what mg is she on klonopin seems to do nothing for me anti-anxiety or recreation wise. have you had a chance to try them and if so how were they?

they are tiny white circle pills, kind of look like generic ritalin. They are only .25mg but when i take them i take at least 4 and when i take 4 to get a mg of klonopin in total, it abolishes any anxiety i may have had before taking them and gives me a calm feeling until i go to sleep. Although that is when i have no tolerance. Ive went from using xanax for anxiety to klonopin and found that i needed double the amount of klonopin to equal the anxiolytic effect of xanax. IMO klonopin is the #1 anxiety medication for chronic anxiety.

They are designed for sublingual administration. They even contain sweeteners to make them more palatable, which in my in my opinion make them more of a novelty and more prone to abuse, depending on you, of course.

seems like all klonopin minus the mylan version have sweeteners, i KNOW the teva brand does.

Hmm. Perhaps they do. I have never let any of the other formulations dissolve in my mouth.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you on this. Main reason for me is that it lasts so long. I can take some at night for sleep and when I wake up, still have the anti anxiety effect through most of the morning.

And, I have never heard of or seen the "dissolving" klonopin. Are they sublingual tablets?? I have an RX for regular 1mg klonopins, which i take sublingually sometimes. I know there not meant for that but it works really well and they taste minty/sweet. (as opposed to xanax taken SL, those are NASTY!)

yeah according to the person that responded above they are meant for sublingual use, im assuming due to the fact that klonopin takes roughly 3 hours to reach peak effect and people with situational anxiety that need relief within 10-15 mins wont find klonopin useful seeing how long it takes to reach peak blood levels. BUT i prefer to not give myself a chance to get anxiety so i take one-2mg in the morning or 2mg at night and that lasts me for 24 hours

Sublingual use. And as stated above, takes around 3-4 hours for peak effects. And it's good for... kinda just relaxing and watching some movies with friends. Not that of a recreational benzodiazepine in my opinion.

Okay, Thanks to sleepwalker and shpongle for answering my question. Next time I see my doctor I am going to ask him about these. I am prescribed .5mg PRN throughout the day and that is usually when I will take it sublingually, for the quick effect. Would be nice if I had actual SL tabs

mylan has sweeteners but the quality is that of a sugar pill. activis has the least minty taste but it is still there. you bet your ass the tevas do i combed every pharmacy i could find until i got the tevas. they taste so damn good it is just a shame kpins have zero rec value for me.
