HOW TO: Splitting Nurofen Plus tablets

I do this pretty regularly and rarely need more than 100mg. I find it to be one of those subtle drugs like GHB where less is more.

AS for there being a "splitting type and non-splitting type" this is crap. You may occasionally get one that doesn't split properly due to a fault in the manufacturing process, but seeings as I've had 3 out of around 1000 do this, I'd say it's more likely that you're fucking up with the splitting.

As others have said, the UK pills apparently are a lot harder to split. We are lucky here is Aus =D

I find that my favourite dose is around 150mg, but I am a pretty tiny guy so that may translate to a higher dose for others. I don't mind the higher doses but the itching annoys me to no end. One day I'll get around to buying an antihistamine and then deciding if I like the higher doses.

Yes exactly the same as me, I am only small 150mg is perfect. You just have to find the right dose. Yeah the itching on the higher doses is really too much for me.

I am in Australia and got a pack of unsplitables the other day which really pissed me off, because yeah the majority of the time they split no worries at all.
 
^ Well 153.6mg to be exact ;) (12 tabs x 12.8mg of codeine per N+ half). Which is good because I can get a good 4 doses out of a 48 pack. Have you tried taking antihistamines with a higher dose?
 
^Yeah thats exactly right, it works out pretty cheap when you find the cheapest place.

No I havn't taken an antihistamine with a higher dose, i was going to ask about that. Is there anything you can suggest?

I have taken up to 300mg a few times, sometimes the itching is really bad and i get a bit red in the face, but another time I was alright. I have also experienced it at a reasonably low doses so i would be very interested to see how well an antihistamine would work. Because codeine has a reasonably mild effect, it would be great to be able to up the dosage without increasing the side effects.
 
^ I'm not sure specifically which antihistamine is the best to use, I've always just assumed any old hayfever-type tablet would be fine, like Demazyn, Clarinayse or something... anyone know? I know people overseas always talk about Benadryl, but I always thought that was a cough medicine or something over here...
 
Old thread but has anyone had success with splitting N+ in Australia these days?
 
From what I've gathered on these forums, they've taken splittable tablets off the market. Now both sides contain codeine and ibprofen. Don't use the splitting technique anymore, it's not safe (due to the potential for high doses of ibprofen, which can damage your gastro intestinal tract).

Search the forums or the internet for the cold water extraction (CWE) method.

Fuck codiene i did 450 milligrams and felt absolutely nothing. Of course i use heroin but still i hadn't used since the day before and i was quite pissed after swallowing 15 t3's and getting nothing, well i got the warm calmness but nothing else so i consider that nothing anyways what im saying is codeine sucks if you use any other (i.e. heroin) opiates.
 
Is someone forcing you to use codeine that you're saying "fuck it," or is this a "share your opinion" thread?
 
I'm pretty sure if you are a heroin user it wouldnt do much as heroin is so much stronger and works on the same receptors.

Heroin is in the basket with meth for me though, will never ever use it.
 
I want to reopen this thread for feedback on hoojoo's suggestion that all the pills now contain an even mix of codeine and ibuprofen. I'm looking for someone to verify that in the UK, the N+ pills are still split for production reasons.

I've heard plenty of opinions, but has anyone actually carried out a CWE on both halves, tried the resulting liquids on separate nights, and are thus able to confirm that the side without the N+ marking produced a liquid that had no noticeable high.

Nothing short of that if likely to settle this debate in my mind, at least not completely. My ideal dose is about 350mg, between the ones posited here, and given the number of pills that involves, I want to be be totally confident about this issue.

The fact that some pills split and some don't suggests to me that the formulations must be different in some way, could that not indicate a mixing of the two active ingredients?

Anyway, I really should just do the test myself, let me know the results if you've tried it guys!

i just did a CWE experiment with Nurofen Plus pills, which i got from Australia, to figure if the pills are indeed NOW mixed.....
and they are.

i split all of the pills in my experiment and with each CWE trial, and not only was there no noticeable high specifically from the N+ side.... i ended up with the exact same amount of Ibuprofen/other shit in EACH of my coffee filters after the filtration.


granted i didn't get super high, but i could feel the codeine effect, and for me.... the N+ side CWE drink was just the same as the other side's CWE resulting drink.


i believe the only way to currently split the Nurofen Plus pills is to find an OLD (like 3-4 years) pack from Australia. otherwise, DO COLD WATER EXTRACTIONS.

and no, you can't legally get them in the states.
 
Has then been any comparison done with the CWe on this? it just seems to be a risky way of going about things, not to mention the odds are you'll be losing a decent amount of codeine.
 
^ What are you asking? Whether tests have been done on the splitting or on CWE's? I've seen one poster on BL before who weighed out the results of a CWE evaporated, and the weights were all alright. I've never been able to find that post/thread again though and I wouldn't have the patience to do it myself in real life.

I don't quite understand why you're asking. It would take longer to split the pills than to perform a CWE!
 
Do you reckon we should close this thread now perhaps?
As you can't split the Nurofen anymore and it could lead people to attempt it and risk them putting themselves in danger due to misleading info.
