does anyone have any tricks for sleeping through the night when going through opiate wds cause i can't take another bad night it's messing with my psyche

You could try drinking, that used to help me when I was strung out and needed sleep.

Just don't get addicted to that

Ugh I couldn't stand drinking while kicking, the next day was triple hell with a shot of fuckingkill me and an anxiety back, just saying. Gabapentin helps me a wicked lot. Check out the opiate withdrawal megathread.

You could try taking loperamine, as it is said to help with WDs and it may help the RLS and thus allow you to relax. I would strongly advise against drinking, I could only imagine what being hung over on days into withdrawal would feel like. If you want to try something OTC you can get Doxylamine, thats a good sleep aid.

First of all, you should avoid antihistamines like Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) and Doxylamine (Unisom, others) as they can really exacerbate akathisia and restless legs syndrome. If you find that they do not have this effect on you, they can be a very valuable OTC sedative/sleep aid.

In my experience, Marijuana helps to relax me and get to sleep. For others though, they can just make their withdrawal worse both physically and psychologically.

Taking a hot shower or bath right before you go to sleep can also be helpful.

If you're willing to consult a physician regarding your difficulties, they will probably write you a prescription for Clonidine or even a benzo if you're lucky. Clonidine is a sort of gold standard of treatment for those in w/d. It's a powerful sedative and will greatly reduce the feelings of inner restlessness that you are probably experiencing. It can also be helpful in reducing anxiety.

Hope this helps

I find your advice very useful. However, when someone can´t sleep, everything is a little more difficult.

Exercise and drinking are theoretically great to get some sleep but i find them both really hard to do when in opiate WDs(drinking might seem to help but always made me worse).
Benzos or maybe weed could do the trick, and maybe you could mix one of those with 1 glass of booze if you think it will help.

Also,if you have a gf or wife try to have sex,it prolly wont last long but orgasm almost takes the whole WDs away for a little while(plus, youll prolly be able to go multiple times).
If youre able to do this, and then pop a pill, youre golden.
