How to seperate cutting agent from K

I am going to constitute ketamine liquid for intramuscular injection from already cooked, powdered ketamine. I will use bacteriostatic water and a .22 watman filter. What I want to know is IF my ketamine powder is cut with something, (and I don't know what it would be), when you mix it with the bacteriostatic water and filter it, will the filter take out whatever the ket powder was cut with, and leave you with the pure ketamine solution then? How do you seperate a cutting agent from powdered ketamine that you suspect might be cut with something?
 
You could do some sort of extraction.

EDIT: Wait... first off I'm sure you could search for this. Second this thread is nearly a year old.
 
No the filter will not take out what it was cut with unless the cut does not dissolve in water, in which case you can just see it sitting on the bottom of your liquid as a slurry / precipitant.

It is highly recommended that you do NOT inject unknown cuts, they could be dangerous!

If you know what the cut is for sure and it is not harmful to inject this, filter it with a coffee filter first, then after that with the whatman filter, otherwise you will clog up your .22 micron pores very fast and it will not trickle through.

Maybe the thread is old but if someone bumps today who wants to know it is the same as creating a new fresh thread.

I would avoid injecting anything of questionable purity, however, if you need to trip that badly then I would suggest an acid/base extraction followed by recrystallisation, which should remove most cuts.

It's not really possible to give good advice on this unless the exact impurities are known, and even then it may not be possible at home.

i would add 1ml of sterile water to every 100mg of said ket, dissolve completely, then recrystalize.

did it come in crystal form(prelab) or is it cooked up from a vial? you should be able to tell this pretty easily ime as the two look quite different. chances are if you are getting it in crystal form(looks similar to salt) directly from a trusted vendor it *should be pure, if you got it off the streets or at a party and it has more of a powdered look, harder to tell..but who knows really..better safe than sorry.
 
It is worth noting that when recrystallizing, your cut could actually precipitate before the ketamine, so you don't know which is which. Even if you get decent crystals you would have to snort or eat both fractions to check which one is the ketamine. Just saying.
 
Well chromatography is the only obvious solution I see, maybe do some research on the web and figure out how to rig up some sort of homemade column?

Separating mixtures can only be done through recrystallization, distillation (for liquid mixtures), and chromatography; realistically, this task may be beyond your capabilities if you lack laboratory experience.
 
Chances are, if one has to ask how to separate cuts then chromatography is beyond one's capabilities.
 
Good point.

This is more or less an ID thread though. We cannot and will not tell you whether you have a cut or not and what it is. If someone suggests it might be harmless and you decide to go ahead with it, it could drive you to make bad decisions on assumptions without basis.

So unless you got a good reason, this will be closed. I will be doing that right now so please PM me or another mod if you have any questions or remarks.
