How to see your Aura

Apparently.

Just see this on my Facebook feed.. Thought some of you might appreciate it.

I, obviously, don't believe in Auras as other people do.. They're just you're brain playing tricks on you..

But if anyone want's to see (hallucinate) something cool next time you've stayed up for a few nights.. hold you're hand out in front of you in front of a white wall and stare at one of your fingers.. you should see something that's easiest to describe as "energy" (not that it is).. It looks pretty cool.. Once you see it you should be able to look around your hand and still see it. If, once you've seen this strange moving field around your hands you make a ring with your finger/s and thumb.. it should make a "web" filling up that space..

If it all works well you should see it vividly, with no questionable doubt, as clear as day.

After a few nights I've even managed to "shoot" this "energy" from my hands at whatever i aim it at.. by simply telling my brain that that will happen (normally with a hand movement and internal sound)..

This effect comes from the ease with which your retina "fatigues" when exposed to the same image.

The human eye is far from a perfect camera, and in the normal course of looking at things your eyes actually scan back and forth in twitches, called saccades, to focus the image onto slightly different parts of the retina. Because retinal rod/cone cells need time to regenerate without stimulation, if you continuously expose them to light they will stop responding. (A related illusion is staring at some negative image for a minute or so, then staring at a wall or flat surface.)

If you keep your head still and your eyes fixed, you will naturally suppress these eye motions somewhat, depending on degree of relaxation and how far away your eyes are focused (at infinity is best). If done right, any moving objects start to develop 'halos' and the nonmoving background will lose definition and go grey. This is also the process responsible for making you see afterimages when you see bright lights.

Unfortunately, Matilda will have to remain fiction. There's no evidence that seeing halos or auras is anything more than an optical illusion. I wouldn't use it to judge trustworthiness...

This is prob the worst way to try seeing auras.

The best way is to visit a forest around dusk or dawn when there is only twilight. You can see auras at all other times too, but if you're new at it, twilight is the most obvious time. Nature is the best place in general to study auras. You'll see silvery emanations from all the plants and trees. It's easiest to see around the end of April because that's the time when all the plant life force is going into the leaves and flowers, so things are particularly vibrant.

In the pacific northwest we have ferns that I call "cosmic TVs" because unlike all the other plants their auras are way busier. You can touch your hand to them and watch their aura spread up your arm in what I like to call the plant-human interface. :)

Images like the one in the OP make it seem like the colours should be so obvious. Most people don't see the colours at first, they just see the movement of the bio-field. It looks like a sparse kind of static. Once you see the static, try focusing on one piece of it for a time... the more you stare, the more it will begin to reveal colour. I don't know why it works this way, it just does. If you have another person accompanying you, you can try seeing their aura in nature; and if there's more than one other person, you can compare human auras too.

Please go on, Foreigner. Fascinating...

I'm really, unfortunately, feeling that whilst I love my Kratom, this 8 year love affair is going to have to end soon if I really want to develop my spirituality. It's nowhere near as spiritually suppressing as opiates however.

So anyway, I spend a length of time nearly every single day up in the woods and have done for many years. I would consider myself born initially as a very much spiritually awakened, however have suppressed much of this capability through excessive alcohol and drug abuse. I know that when I do cut down on everything, I feel my extrasensory perceptions heightened massively. It's going to be a really hard, difficult step to not ingest any substance of any form....I am not quite ready for that, which saddens me as I want to get back to how I was when I was 13 and meditating daily, having many psychic encounters and feeling very much "awakened", for lack of a better term. I've very much been blurring out and blocking my 3rd eye since then.

Excuse any new-agey terminology, but I don't really give a fuck if it annoys the pedantic etymologists, for both my point has been conveyed and there are few specific terms for this broad subject as it's still in development.

People have different kinds of auras. I'm not very clairvoyant so I can't see them that clearly but I can see a kind of glow around certain people. Enlightened human beings (like Obama) have golden auras while incarnated angels (like Marilyn Monroe) and young children have white auras. The golden energy stands for Christ-consciousness or human consciousness made divine. The white stands for something originally divine (but which can be corrupted).

A good way to see your aura is get a stoned with a hippy and some kinda Vulcan mind-meld shit...lol

^ More likely, the aura is bio-energy... but its dynamism indicates to me that it is bio-energy emanating from more parts than just the body, leading me to believe that there are other non-material aspects of consciousness. The body is obviously a crucial part of it though.

I had two Kirlean photographs taken of my aura at alternative fairs. In the first one it was mostly dark red with some dirty spots of yellow, orange, and green here and there. Didn't look too good or very spiritual. But the second one had a clear rainbow pattern of all the colours around me and a white light above my head. Seems like it's something that changes according to state of mind, consciousness, etc.

Are you sure it wasn't just a hot day?

Why do you think non-living things can also show an "aura"?

The answer is water.

The high-voltage frequency applied to the metal plate rips the electrons off of atoms. The air around the photographed object becomes ionized. If that air contains any water, the resulting image will show the glowing silhouette around the object, which scientists actually call a “corona plasma discharge”.

When a person is sweating more due to being overheated, or excited in some way, Kirlian photographs taken of their hands at that time will show a larger more intense glow due to the increased moisture. Conversely, cold dry hands will produce an image which shows a weaker glow. Despite the ready availability of this accurate scientific explanation, New Age proponents of Kirlian photography will still argue that the person whose hands showed a larger, brighter glow is a natural healer when they are really just sweaty.

A psychic said I have a little bit of Black in my Aura, from 5 years ago. It was from being on and off with an alcoholic for 2 Years.

That would denote a state of poor health or poor mentality. Have you considered going to a therapist to talk this out? It's likely changed in five years.

A reiki practitioner could probably sort that out.

Kirlian photography is not capturing the aura.

The psychic you saw was a quack. There's no such thing as black auras in humans.

Bump.

Could someone here please read my color aura? I have been interested in having someone tell me what color they think my personality is for a while now. I associate other people with colors naturally, but have never been able to pin my own color down, so I'm hoping someone could help me figure out who they think I am.

I don't know if it is normal to just post on a thread asking for something like this, since this is actually my first time posting here, so I should probably introduce myself while I'm writing! I am AppleInvestigator, and I actually joined this forum because I was hoping someone could read an aura for me... I'd been interested in getting someone to read Fiona Apple's aura for me, and that was actually what I named my username from, haha.

Fiona Apple is more like me than any other person I can think of, which is why she's in my profile picture, so if someone could get a reading on her, they could probably get an idea of whether they would be interested in reading my aura, as well...

Thanks!
