Stimulants How to relieve the "next day adderall hangover"?

I don't take adderall much even though I am prescribed it because the side effects and comedown are pretty harsh. I want to quit it altogether but I need it for studying. When I take adderall (40-60mgs for school), the next day I feel completely zoned out, fatigued, and have a big case of anhedonia. I know it's caused by the lack of proper nutrition, water, sleep, and depleted dopamine. So tonight I ate a big dinner, drank water, and popped 2 bars so I will be able to get sleep. However, if I still feel like shit tmrw, will some hydrocodone help me feel somewhat normal? I know I'll be fine by Wednesday so I just need something to help get through tomorrow. Thanks

Also, would dexedrine or vyvanse be easier on your body? If so, I might switch to that. I tried every other ADD med out there except for those 2 (and Desoxyn).

Hey, i understand where you're coming from 100%.
I too am prescribed adderall but only take it when necessary(to study).

I also experience a pretty bad come down the next day but most of the effects can be slightly countered by proper nutrition and water while on adderall.
I also find that drinking ALOT of coffee the next day helps as well as supplementing L-Tyrosine to hopefully help with dopamine.

When you say "popped 2 bars" I'm assuming you're referring to Xanax bars? ......if so, i wonder if that isn't what is causing some of your next day symptoms.
If you're feeling fatigued some of that can defiantly be attributed to stimulants, but I'm sure that benzos wouldn't help much with feeling awake.

As far as taking some hydrocodone...... this may help you feel "better" but I'm sure it won't help you feel more awake or "normal".

I can imagine taking opioids and benzos may help me feel a bit less depressed, but as far as "zoned out" and fatigued ......i think theyd just make it worse.

Also, as far as dexedrine and vyvanse. In my experience dexedrine is extremely similar to adderall and I don't notice any difference in effects.
Vyvanse on the other hand...... I only took vyvanse for 1 week, but i found it extremely superior to adderall, there wasn't a come down and i didn't have any of my normal side effects.....however it did cause me to be extremely overstimulated to the point where i didn't sleep for days.
IMO vyvanse would perhaps be worth a try, defiantly talk to your doc. But it isn't for everyone.

i tried many different things to counter the next day 'bleh' feeling of adderal but nothing helped..i tried uppers, downers, in betweeners u name it, but in the end i just had to ride it out..exercise helped a little bit but all in all, this is main reason i gave up stims..the next day or 'crash' was just brutal..
