How does one prolong life of the ezy tester?

dark box (light impermeable) in the fridge?

is keeping the whole kit in the fridge recomnded or not?

how long will the test stay good for? approx time frame would be good

thanks!!

my first e-z test came in a small plastic tube with a color chart wrapped around the (amber) bottle as well. i think the new testers (esp. the combo ones) come in a small plastic container, so light shouldn't be an issue.

for most compounds discussed on bl, including the e-z test reagents, you can generally say a dry, cool and dark place is the best environment. if you have a small drawer with personal stuff in it that's not exposed to direct sunlight or close to a radiator, just put it in there and it will remain good as long as possible.

i kept mine in the fridge sometimes, but i wouldn't say it's necessary.

i would replace the tester about one year after buying it. that's €1,83/month, quite a good deal for peace of mind :)
