well max 6 foot 165 lbs is pretty skinny. you sure you have a fat belly? i use to be 6 foot 2 157 lbs and i was soo skinny that i started working out to put on some muscle. Now im 180 lbs and i still feel like im skinny and can see my ribs.
I have read the entire thread and thought I would add something - not sure if it's worthwhile as the original post was made a year ago, but what the hey.. people still seem to be interested in this topic.
I noticed the OP mentioned she was eating out at restaurants regularly. I have learnt that even seemingly healthy options available at restaurants can still be laden with sugar, salt and fat. You may order a salad and not realise how much dressing is added, or that it contains a huge amount of fatty bacon, or the protein was cooked in a lot of butter etc etc.
Chefs always try to make their meals taste good - even the healthy stuff - so it's important to ask questions of the wait staff and make sure you're really getting the healthy option you thought you were.
If you blend your food into a soup you will stretch the lining of your stomach further than eating whole foods. Pressure against the stomach wall inhibits the release ghrelin which is what signals to your brain that you're stomach is empty. Science!
