Hi guys,
I have a question regarding the benzos in the title of my post. The next few lines are there to give you an idea of my tolerance to benzodiazepines.
Until a few weeks ago I was prescribed 2mg alprazolam a day. I go to my center twice a week, Mondays and Fridays, which means on Mondays they used to give me 8mg alprazolam to go and then the remaining 6mg on Fridays. This went on for approximately 2 years, perhaps longer.
Then about a month ago they changed not only my dose, but also my drug: instead of 2mg alprazolam a day I get 45mg oxazepam a day.
First question: What do you think of this? Due to regulations the doc was forced to give me either clonazepam or oxazepam. Which would you rather have? 1x2 mg clonazepam or 3x15mg oxazepam daily. I haven't experienced withdrawal, but I also take a non-benzo anti-epileptic ('delepsine' / 'deprakine' -- sodium valproate)
On with the post. Even though the oxazepam calmed me down somewhat when I took it in excessive amounts (e.g. 6x15 = 90mg), I still wasn't entirely satisfied by its effect and hence I switched benzo again, this time to 2mg clonazepam a day. I should probably say to give you an idea of my tolerance to alprazolam that I had to take 4mg to feel anything, but that amount did make me feel really mellow and stuff. It made me feel the way an anxiolytic benzo should make you feel.
Second question: If you have the following at your disposal...
15 x 6mg bromazepam
8 x 2mg clonazepam
... and you have that bit of benzo tolerance that I did my best to describe, which and how much of the above ones would you ingest to achieve the best 'high'?
I know many of you protest when using the words 'benzo' and 'high' in the same sentence, but call it 'feeling' then... you catch my drift I'm sure.
Suggestions involving combinations of both benzos are also welcome, but then please explain why combos are better than individuals (or the other way around).
I also take 20mg methadone every day.
Thank you very much!
