(answered) how to get a notification if someone replies to your thread, or a thread you joined?

is there a way I can get a notification is someone replies to my thread? or even if someone replies to a thread that I have commented on? i'd prefer it NOT to be an email notification but a general blinking light on the site type thing, or even a private message letting you know someone has replied to a certain post, thread, quote, etc. im always going back and looking at my past posts and having to click on those but rather be notified if anything happened in that thread or your post.

You can check the "settings" in the upper right corner. It tells you any unread posts in theads you're subscribed to.
I'm not sure if there is a way to be notified other than that.
 
thanks, man. that kinda works and it's alot easier than what i was doing before, which was just go searching for what i said, wrote, thought of, lost, etc. ha. was starting to become a pain in the ass and was thinking of letting it all go. imagine? i wish i could "let it all go" with everything/anything that id like to.

I recommend reading over the rest of the Support FAQ, as well as the Greenlighters Guide. Most questions that you may have about the forum are covered in those threads.

I don't use subscriptions but I have a pointer that helps me out sometimes :)

Each thread has an icon assigned to it and they mean different things... (There is a key at the bottom of every sub forum page)

So the icons with the triangle in the middle are threads you have posted in. Additionally, if the thread title is in bold there are recent unread posts. It means you have to scan every thread to notice the ones you have posted in, and know the sub forums you have posted in, but that it comes in handy as someone who reads Bluelight a lot!
 
ive been going to settings and then subscriptions from there. works for me, man. i just see who replied/said what to each and every thread i replied/started. all is good in the hood. still waiting to get to that 50 post count so i can start my own blog and keep up w/ my use/non-use day to day. def. "used" today but cut my use to half or even 1/4 of what my usual is. not even daily lately after going through a 9 day detox (self detox) in my old bedroom growing up in the parents house. that was a few weeks ago but still TRYING to kick it completely. the GF and the parents seems to think i should have kicked it by now but apparently they never used/addicted to dope; thank god they never have. rather than look down upon me then have this monster take over their lives. either way, regardless of what they think/say, i know i am doing my best and going into an out patient program next week. may go on vivitrol soon and see how that does for me. hopefully all goes well.
