how to feel oxycodone after xanax

Hey there bluelighters, so I take oxy like 4-5 days a week and I'm up to a normal dose of about 45 to 60mg 2-3 times a day. So here comes the question, EVERY time I take alprazolam for work and end up wanting to take some oxy at home I never feel the oxy, like yesterday I only took 1 mg alprazolam about 8 hours before I took 60mg oxy and felt a tiny nothing. Today I took 1mg at about 3pm then another 1mg at about 6, I want to take the oxy at around 12 but I almost know it won't do anything.

Is there any way to get around this, like maybe take dxm with my dose or some other drug, any input would be greatly appreciated, o and if I knew I was gunna take the oxy tonight I wouldn't have taken the alprazolam in the first place like an idiot.

So the alprazolam reduces the oxycodone effects for you? Weird, usually benzodiazepines add to the effects (the sedation, at least..)

Is it that the alpraz overpowers the oxy? Or do you just not feel it?

I'm not sure what the solution would be, apart from not to bother with the oxy and save it for when you haven't taken alprazolam, as I don't know what the mechanism of this is..

Just be careful when mixing the two, and I definitely would not take the two with Alcohol

^ good point adding in a 3rd downer can be very dangerous, 2 can also be dangeous so go steady..

i doubt benzo's cause your problems, but i do suspect you have this thing called "tolerance."

I always feel xanax adds to the sedation a little bit, but reduces the body buzz and slightly reduces the euphoria of opiates. That's odd that you can't feel the oxy that much later though. You definitely have some oxy tolerance

Either your tolerance has been inching up, while at the same time you've been doing more xanax, or you have a more or less unique response to that combination. Most people find that xanax makes oxy more fun, not less fun (certainly, it does for me, though i'd pick soma + oxy over xanax + oxy any day - but my responses to opiates shouldn't be taken as typical). I've heard a hell of a lot of people say that xanax goes great with oxy, and very few people who feel otherwise.

I'd council you to cut back on the oxy - you'll be able to get better effects when you take it if you don't take it so often.
