I walk about 2 miles a day, I'm on an antipsychotic which gains appetite. Is there foods that I can snack on that aren't bad for you and make u feel more full? I am eating too much, I am 5'9 and weigh 240 lbs, that is not ok.

Yes, there are plenty of foods like that, just research it. Stuff like nuts, raisins, low cal bars... can help you feel full without being caloric.

Now, what's with walking 2 miles a day? Unless you have some very serious condition, that does not qualify as exercise at all. It's better than nothing, but it's also close to nothing aye.. try to work your way into harder cardio if you can.

Walking any amount is better than sitting so that's a good start. When I was on Seroquel it made me so hungry I could not believe the amount of food I was eating. Carrots, cauliflower and broccoli are filling and I eat them with ranch dressing. Keep some fresh fruit on hand too.

Yogurt always does it for me or an apple or orange.

OP Do you prefer walking as the type of exercise for now or are you open into engaging into other activities? I would suggest adding other types of workouts so that you get to work different parts of your body out.

Don't forget cherry tomatoes, celery, mushrooms & bell peppers. If you are not interested in the extra preparation most supermarkets sell a veggy tray and all it requires is that you eat them! Don't forget to drink water when you eat, it will help you keep that "full" feeling. My blood pressure doubled last year, so in an attempt to make veggys more palatable I started adding much more of them to my chicken, tuna & potato salads. I like to put in celery, bell peppers and onions and I use one part tuna or chicken to each part of vegetables. I spice it up good with Chili powder, cumin, garlic, onion powder, celery seed, cayenne and white/black pepper and then add just a bit of salt & mayonaise. It makes for a very fresh tasting lunch. I often eat the tuna/chicken salad on just a slice of bread, openface to save the extra calories in the unused bread slice.

You might find what your looking for or some interesting information in the world of body building and fitness to loose and maintain a healthy weight. Because I've been working out and training for some years now, my mates brother was 2005 uk body building champion. The thing about weight lifters is that their not just meet heads who want the biggest muscle about, their diet and nutrition specialists aswell, because you have to be to grow muscle and lose weight! It's 30% gym and 70% diet with them. Protein, carbs and iron five times a day basically chicken, rice and broccoli.
The average person jus looking to maintain a healthy weight needs to find the right balance between what your putting in to what your burning off, look into the nutritionall content of what your eating to get the best outcome.
Your body is like an engin, to lose weight you need to eat less more of the time because when your body is digesting food it needs energy to do so. Good diet mixed with good exercise is key to success. I find green tea to be a good weight control drink as it's full of anti oxidants witch help lower blood sugar levels and CLA witch is basically a natural fat fighter, it stops little fat cells from turning into big fat cells. To have a healthy body and healthy life style you need to eat healthy.

Do you think the new flavored water ICE is good to drink? It has green tea extracts in it.

I have a hard time not overeating. I just ate a sourdough jack, two tacos, and then a sandwich, is this too much to eat for lunch?
