In one corner of the globe there's a nice, widely available cough syrup that has DXM as its only active ingredient. However, it also contains loads of sorbitol, which is by no means easy on one's bowels; save for an extraction of the DXM, what can be done to help this unfortunate side effect? Loperamide, and, however silly it might sound, Skittles vodka (apparently due to its high content of glucose/fructose) have shown mixed results, but surely there's some better way than Skittles to make sure one doesn't get diarrhea or the old irritable bowel syndrome, right? Preferably, a way that wouldn't result in the figurative, or literal, shit hitting the fan if one pops some hydroxyzine to potentiate the DXM, if you kind folks get the drift.
