How to conserve speed?

I've been keeping the rest of speed I bought 1 week ago in a little plastic bottle and I'd like to know what can I do to conserve it and what can happen if I just keep it in there closed, on the drawer?

Haven't used it in years but all the people I used to know that were big into it would keep it in a bag in the freezer?

The freezer is the coolest, driest place in your house, best place to keep any kind of drugs really.
