How to change ritalin script to Adderal

I told him that I thought my ritalin dose was getting too high and causing too many side effects (headaches, loss of appetite). I said that my roommate took adderall and didn't seem to experience the same problems so I was wondering if it might be a fit for me. My doc doesn't really like adderall but he went for it.

Just scratch out on the prescription where your doctor wrote Ritalin, and write Adderall.

Here's what I did - I told him that the Ritalin was working fine, but it was upsetting my stomach. Then I told him that my psychologist had recommended Adderall (make sure to mispronounce it incorrectly for effect). Each subsequent visit, I mentioned that the Adderall was great and not upsetting my stomach, but that it seemed to wear off quicker than the Ritalin. He/She will keep bumping up the dose, so long as your blood pressure is normal...so just don't take anything the days that you go in to get re-evaluated.

obviously none of you guys have gotten a prescription for a controlled substance...
controlled substances require a special DEA prescription form slip...in bold red letters it says "ANY CORRECTIONS MADE WILL VOID THIS PRESCRIPTION"...so if you try scratching out or crossing out or even try modifying any information on the slip in any way the prescription will be voided...if i remember correctly the form consists of 3 slips...theres the first slip which the doctor writes on with 2 carbon copy slips under...the first slip goes to the Department Of Justice...the second slip goes to the pharmacist...and the third slip the doctor tears off and keeps for himself...i think the doctor has to send in that slip back to the DEA...on the slips it includes the doctors hospital address, the doctors DEA#, the prescription, and the patients address, social security number, and date of birth...
so good luck scratching out yer prescription...

In my case wat i did was told the doc. that the ritalin wasn't letting me sleep, so i asked the doc. for the next best thing and he said to take adderal which i wanted...and it worked. try to do something like that.
