Just wanted to add that when you email them, it can help to include a couple of alternate usernames you’d be okay with, just in case your first choice is taken. Good luck!

Excellent idea - you're not 'just' anything mate and you're certainly not that anymore. I've been thinking of changing mine for similar reasons

If the username is 'triggering' for you and they try to charge you to change it and you can't afford it I'm happy to pay it for you (although you can use your savings from not buying that shite all the time I imagine...but offer stands)

That's nice of you. I never enforced the donation requirement for name changes rule. Hopefully they continue with that.
