I've been seeking weed substitutes and have come across wild dagga and klip dagga mentioned a few times in articles. I'd like to try these, knowing fully that they don't produce a cannabis high but may produce a lower-level experience. The trouble is, I'm not sure how I should use them or even what form I should buy them in. I've seen references to smoking the leaves and flowers, but other references saying that smoking is ineffective and that you have to vapourize it to get an effect, presumably because smoking destroys the active ingredients. I've also seen people talking about making a tea using the dried leaves and flowers, and I assume that there are alcoholic extracts available that concentrate the active ingredients. I've already spent a lot trying different herbs and I'd rather hear some more experiences with wild dagga and klip dagga before spending more money. I'm really just searching for a psychoactive effect that gives me a bit of euphoria or mood lift along with some relaxation, not the full-on cannabis experience, so I don't expect these herbs to be as strong as cannabis.
