Hey guys, swim recently purchased Marquis reagent in hopes to get cleaner pills, that were not bzp, methamphetamine, TFMPP, procain, ketamine, pcp, dxm, 5-MeO-DiPT , or another non mdxx substance.

From looking at ecstasydata.org, i see that even laced pills react with a purple / black mdxx on marquis even when mdxx is not the most abundant compund.

Is there someway i can make sure my pills only contain mdxx?

The closest way to finding most adulterants is to buy the complete kit from eztest and not just the marquis. Check out the pillreports forums on bluelight..tons of info there.

Hmm ok I will have to get the other two kits.

I am primarily concered about PCP and Methamphetamine. Will other reagents be more sensative to them than MDMA?

Marquis tests for methampetamine / speed - PCP isnt really used as a adulterant these days Im not sure how it would react to the home testing kits ?

The kits can show a whole host of different chemicals - the main adulterant these days though is piperzines
(mCPP does not react to the Marquis reagent. The Simons reagent will turn a light blue color).

PCP will turn a light yellow with Mecke, and blue with cobalt thiocyanate reagent (1g thiocyanate in 50ml of Methanol). Meth will also turn blue with thiocyanate, but MDMA and MDA won't produce any colour.

Hey Phase dancer - there is probably a full list somewhere of what drugs will give what results do you have any links?

Try this. It's quite old so doesn't have many newer drugs, but it's still very useful. Spot Tests- A Reference for Forensic Chemists I have a couple of other papers and book extracts too which I'll offer if there's enough interest ( when I can get the time).

Also, Clarke's Analysis of drugs and poisons is a great resource for testing. You used to be able to get a trial membership for free here but I'm not sure if that's still available to the public.
