how to avoid wds

The suboxone should help by itself big time or at least for me, give me energy to be apart of the world. Most of your hard part is over mostly mental now..but any kind of upper helps too. Not sure what's legal or not where you are, so if a lot is illegal, coffee coffee coffee doubleshot that shit lol

Thanks prettylightz...did you switch from methadone to subs...or right from h? I'm wondering why its talking my body so long to adjust to the change. I have heard people refer to suboxone as a wonder drug...I personally am not on board with that just yet. Its also giving me debilitating headaches....kinda miss my methadone :(

Kicker,

I was using insufflation of oxycodone maybe from 30-100mg a day for months so I wasn't that bad off. But man let me tell you suboxone is a WONDER DRUG, along with benzos and cannabis if ya can get some. Seriously get sub, most insurance covers it and you can taper off that way easier than pure opiates just takes a little longer due to half life.. And you can fully function and get out of bed and continue with your life. Trust me you'll thank me buddy.

Go to the suboxone website and read about it. It binds to your opiate receptors stronger than anything so you don't get high but have no pain. Might have to start your suboxone dose higher like 8mg+

ONE LOVE

Thanks again prettylightz! Question...are you prescribed benzos on top of subs? If so, where are you from? My Dr absolutely won't do that! :( She just about had a fit when I told her I took 20mg of valium the night after my first induction.

And Just a quick update...today is day 8 on 20mgs of suboxone...still don't feel 100%...but I am feeling a hell of a lot better! Finally able to eat again...don't have all my energy back yet, but I am not stuck to my bed anymore either..lol. Knowing that I am thru the worst of it is such a relief. Now if I can just get it right this time :/

And thanks BL....these forums have been my saving grace. Thanks to all that post such helpful information!

Great to hear, and no I had to obtain all my benzos and even suboxones from fellow addicts, it was tough. Keep with it man its an ongoing batlle.

Just for HR's sake so it said in this thread. Benzo WD is the worst WD out of the 3 drug types you are talking about. You can die from it & have to be medically detoxed to come clean from them safely. Next on the list is opiate WD, there is no need for medical supervision for this type of WD but you will sure feel like you're dying. Stims are another animal as far as WD is concerned. There is no physical WD like benzos & opis, but there can be a very strong psychological WD depending on your usage, predisposition to addiction, etc...

So glad someone said this. I always tell people "never be afraid" regarding opiate/opioid withdrawal, tell yourself "do not be afraid", but with Benzo withdrawal you have every reason to be afraid if you fear for your life. Same with alcohol withdrawal. A lot of people have no fucking idea. The way society looks at drugs, making something like heroin into a pariah among drugs and yet prescribing Benzos on a regular basis...there's a very fucked up aspect to it. Opiates and stimulants can ruin your life, sure. Benzos can end your life. Easier than you might think they will if you're not careful in getting off of them. And I've run into so many fucking people that have it completely the other way around. They have no idea that their Xanax prescription has become a necessary part of their brain chemistry.

Rod is right. When I was hustling xanax bars I was also taking quite a bit. My friends talked me into stopping and since I was young and dumb with no research I had a seizure from xanax WD. Only use benzos as needed if you plan to use them... do not become dependent on them
