How to alkalinize ethanol?

Hello everyone, how can I rise the ph of an ethanol solution? I want to make an alcoholic extraction of coca alkaloids but the sodium carbonate is not soluble in alcohol and I don't know what kind of base I can use to basify the solution, please help!

If you are trying to make a tincture, its not necessary to alkalinize it. Vin mariani for example was made by soaking macerated coca leaves in wine, then straining.

Becareful how concentrated you make it though. I once made a highly concentrated tincture of coca using gin and powdered coca leaves (coca flour). I wanted to be able to get a good amount of cocaine in it so as to feel it strongly just by taking one shot of the liquid.

But i made it so strong that shortly after i swallowed it I realized i had fucked up. The local anesthesia from the cocaine completely numbed my throat and esophagus. I don't usually use a chaser after a shot so it really had a chance to numb everything. Its quite a scary sensation to not be able to feel your throat down to your stomach. Feels like you're going to choke/gag.

Then of course, the cocaine kicked in, which upped the sense of panic

You can extract approximately 1,5g of cocaine from a 1/4 kilo. If I evaporate most of the alcohol I can get two decent oral doses...I don't actually know but I'm going to try it...maybe if I get a goo I can wrap it in smoking paper..

Anyone with experience in making cocaine extractions with food grade solvents? Like alcohol and lemonene?
