How Soon Can You Sleep After Opiates?

About 8 or 9 hours ago I took 20mg of Percocet, I don't feel very high off them anymore, I definitely don't feel normal though. I'm exhausted and I really want to go to sleep but I am always worried about how long you should wait after taking opiates if you might have taken too much? I've had 2 full meals since I took the percs, does that help prevent overdosing, adding something else in your system so it's not just percs?

It depends on the opiate, methadone and other long acting opioids are worst (most dangerous), but in your situation there's really nothing to worry about since the oxycodone leaves your system very quickly. And there is ongoing debate whether sleeping under the influence of an opioid increases the respiratory depression or not, it's not clear.

I never go to sleep while peaking (it would be stupid anyways to miss the high), but after it starts to settle down I think it's safe to stay you may sleep if you wish.

It is good to be cautious, but I think you are being a little overly cautious (I know, HR.)

20mg of oxy + 2 meals and many hours later. You are fine. Go to sleep.

It isn't suggested to pass out in the middle of the high, but still, with a fairly small amount of the drug and the absence of ailments like sleep apnea, you're fine.

Hahaha you are good. When you od you black out and literally pass out and maybe stop breathing. But if you have a normal dose for your tolerance, and are concious, you will not stop breathing in your sleep because if you were going to stop breathing you would have stopped breafhing before getting in bed .

I'm rambling, but you are fine. Try taking some diphenhydramine for sleep and extra sedation. The good thing about dph is that it causes very very weak CBS depressant, and is absolutely safe to take with opiates.
