How soon after stopping Lexapro can I take stimulants?

Hi, my doctor has recommended that I am ready to stop my lexapro medication as he seems to feel I can now do without them. I was on 10mg which then got reduced to 5mg and is now being tapered.

I was just wondering, how long will it take for this to fully leave my system after the last dose, and would it be safe to have one night on stimulants when it has fully gone.

I'm not gonna make a habit of this, its just that I havent had a good night out for a long time and its a friends birthday (in 2 weeks) so just wanna have some fun.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

One week is generally the amount of time recommended, since you're not planning on taking stimulants until two weeks from now you should be just fine.

Good call on tapering down your Lexapro, by the way. Which stimulant specifically were you talking about?
