How should I store my shrooms?

I just picked up a half ounce of some cubensis, dried and vaccuum sealed. I'm planning on eating them with some close friends either this weekend or sometime next week. Until then, how/where should I store them?

I could store them outside in the trunk of my car, where it's dark, however due to me living in wisconsin & the current arctic vortex going on in the midwest the temps outside are always ranging between -20 to 10F. Is this too cold for my shrooms? Will they freeze or need to thaw before consuming?

Another option is storing it inside of a drawer in my room, which is dark & dry and my room is usually around 60F-65F, so a somewhat cool environment.

Keeping them in a fridge is out of the question due to me being home for the holidays and my parents finding them. Any other suggestions?

All input appreciated :)

Nowadays we don't merge threads with such vigor as we used to but in this case I must point out that this is a common question and we have a central subthread about it where I am quite sure it is answered repeatedly:

Such a thread can be found via the central mushroom thread which can be found in the Psychedelic Index, link below in my signature.

Let us know if you are satisfied with this, if so we can close this and you can use the shroom drying subthread as you see fit.
If I do say so myself, I know plenty about the topic so if you find that thread lacking I guarantee I will personally come and explain the options and the process.

^ Does it impact the alkaloids a great deal if they are just fresh frozen? I'll pick them, freeze them and some point several weeks later pull the frozen blob out and pop it in a pot and heated lightly? The frozen moisture just kind of melts into the pot and a tiny bit of water is added and the whole lot simmered on low heat. It is being lazy but it does still get one high but compared to fresh they are milder as I noticed that I needed 2-3 cups vs 1-2 fresh. It'd never work if you wanted to do something other than make tea though. I think the mushroom stored in honey were dried to some extent before being added to the jar of honey. Cheers.
