If England sent the SAS with a boatload of cash/gold to Afghanistan to score a bunch of opium, employed English chemists to make heroin, and gave it away for free to any junkie who wanted to get high a shot from a nurse with a clean needle...

it would cost orders of magnitude less than the cost of police, prison, and other societal costs of the underground drug economy.

Drug dealers themselves are often against legalization as much as the police, because it would impact their margins.

Ironically these same people have no problem with abortion on demand, yet they think it's OK to send people to prison for using/possessing drugs and that it's OK to bash up gays. It's a strange world we live in.
Psychopathic almost, and I make no bones about it.

In fact I claim that the world is run by psychopathic freaks, and I would have plenty of evidence and examples to back that claim up if you took it to me.
 
That's funny that you say that IF we sent the SAS etc to score opium. That IS what's happening. Except we don't pay for it, we just fucking take it - this is why everyone in the world hates the UK, and it's spawn the USA.

The imperialist's now control the flow of cocaine and heroin across the world. I have no idea about China - probably something going on there, but to be honest they never controlled the flow of heroin anyway near as much since years ago.

Before the afghan war the UK and Australia (a commonwealth country, go figure) were the biggest opium poppy producers in the world, either tying with Afghanistan or just ahead. Now the UK and the USA control that opium trade too, and this is why they bring in puppet dictators.

It would help people to get the medicine they need until they work on themselves and find out how to not rely on drugs for physiological/psychological pains, but too many rich business men make too much money for these things to be legalized, the only way it will hapen(and it will) is when we topple the oppressors off their pedestals,

Heroic heroin hookers saving the economy one rim job at a time! What a rush! Ok so is it bad for a person to buy something from the market that he cannot manufacture himself like food? I'd buy regulated oxy if it was OTC like some places... Less side effects imho.

Is it bad to pay the actress for sex acts if you're making a porn? Before you let this confuse you, why don't you make an amateur film instead of buying a hooker?

free will is a joke. Life is like a spiderweb; thousands of tiny strands weaving, intersecting, diverging.

Cumulatively your current environment, childhood/upbringing, socioeconomic status, education levels, hereditary predispositions to disease/mental illness, genetic predispositions for heightened intelligence... the list goes on ad infinitum.

Brainchemistry deficiencies make the whole free will thing a joke. If you are born into a impoverished, one parent home, have access to poor education opportunities, guidance you may free will yourself to Partner at Goldman Sachs.

Improbable.

When i army crawled into my mothers room to lift her car keys so i could drive into a ghetto i hated... risk my future life opportunities, be in high risk open air drug markets while suburbanite white at 3am. And being raised in a decent, upper-middle class family with good values, instilled, there was no free will in that choice. The brain of the opiate dependent individual is highjacked essentially, Food/Sleep/Sex/Shelter, basic things that animals seek out without needing any of the higher thought processes human beings possess, all ignored for just one more glorious barrage of the Mu receptor.

Free will. hah.
