How reliable are logos?

I went out for the last time this weekend, taking a long break, but in the 4 months i've been droppin, i've come across a lot of pills. This weekend i got offered; lovehearts, mitshubishi's, rolex's, dots, guesses, tulips, vw's etc. And from what i've learnt i knew that those were ALL junk except lovehearts. My friends said logo's can't be trusted, but every person who bought mitshubishis or rolex's got nothin, and then went and bought lovehearts. I'm convinved that by the logo and look of the pill, you can know if you've had it before it will be the same. My friends still seem to believe there's "copy cats" around, or a lot of different batches, but i never remember comin across one or havin a different effect.

Would you trust a pill 100% by the logo and how it looks and skip the testing kit?
 
Nope, not a snowflakes chance.

I have even seen the exact same looking pill within two weeks be totally different.

And if you read pill reports a lot like I used to, you will quickly see that it happens a lot and causes much confusion because one person is saying they are great and the next dude calls bullshit...........lol.
 
Even if you take every minute detail into account (logo, size, bevel, score, dome, texture, color, blahblahblah) there are still pressers who will make a small batch of a high quality pill, and then press a shit pill using identical characteristics to flood the market with.

Not to mention that identifying a copycat is much harder than it seems. There are only a few commercial pill presses on the market and it wouldn't be uncommon to be able to make an exact copy of a current pill if the presser had one in hand.
 
The color/press of a pill mean absolutely nothing. It never has and it never will.
I agree with mazdan, and although I support the use of websites like pillreports, they can certainly lead people to believe the pill they have may be "safe" and that person may skip testing his/her pill altogether based on 1 of the reports there.
Please people, test your pills.
 
depends. when a batch first comes about you pretty much know what you're getting, if you test it and it's cool, you can go back to that guy and get the same pills again, but you get loads of different batches with the same press over time.

i've trusted batches before through word of mouth, and never really had any problems.

nowadays, however, things are different.
 
^Even 2 pills from the same batch, made in the same day, even in the same hour could have completely different drugs.
For example, what if someone were pressing a pill, lets say blue doves. That person is planning on pressing 500 in 1 sitting. After he presses 300 or so, he runs out of mdma, so he decides to press the other 200 as ketamine pills. The pills are still going to look exactly the same, they're all still blue doves, and they were still made on the same day, but they contain completely different drugs.
 
i'm talking from personal experience.

if i know a guy who has 100 pills, and i get some off him one week, if he has the same ones next week, assuming they were good pills, i'd buy them again.

never once in my life have i had a dud pill out of one batch. maybe copycats, but never from the same exact batch.
 
well that's a shame then lol. i just think it's a bit far-fetched that one batch of decent pills could contain a load of shit ones just because the manufacturers ran out of mdma, but it obviously happens lol. maybe it's an area thing.
 
I'm gonna have to second just about everyone here...

Logos mean nothing, in my experience. I've had good and bad of the same logo (dolphins, mitsubishis, mercedes, you name it...)

As ones before me have stated, buy a test kit. <3
 
I would never trust pills by the logo. NEVER!!! you have to test them. For example mitsubishi seems to be a pretty repetative logo always put on pills. Sometimes I have had them unbelievable.. other times.. just ok... sometimes completely bunk... LOGOS mean NOTHING!!!! only way you are gunna know wuts in them is if u test them... then the only thing you don't know is the exact amount of each chemical in the pill.. could be weak or could be strong

I think your comment here is often correct, but I've gone back to a trusted dealer literally the next day after I got a good batch from him, and bought more, and found that they weren't nearly as good as the first lot.

I'm not sure if it's a case of 'the manufacturer ran out of MDMA' more as 'they pressed up a good batch first, then pressed up a batch that wasn't as good, knowing it would sell well because the first batch was good'.

Another time I had a very weird effect from pills, something I've never experienced before or since, while my friends were fine (we'd taken the same dose, and I've probably got a higher tolerance than them).

This is probably a pretty common scenario as well, I was just choosing a simple example, one of out the many reasons one might adulterate ecstasy pills.
 
Logos are basically about as reliable as if you were to show your pill to a drunken hobo and asked him what was in it.

Be smart people.

Get yourself a hobo.
