Opioids How Quick to Become Dependant on Hydrocodone

So yesterday I got 34 10/325 norco's. I took 15 of them between 4PM yesterday and 4AM this morning. I am planning on taking probably another 10 today at least and using the rest to taper tomorrow. I am wondering if this is long enough to develop dependence on them. I have used opiates in the past and have a naturally high tolerance (yesterday I started by chewing 40MG on an empty stomach, and before yesterday it had been at least 2 weeks since my last opiate run). Normally I will take 450 mg over a period of 5 days and I have no issues with withdraw then but I normally stop taking them at night and don't start until 3 or 4 pm the next day so that's kind of a mini-detox every night/morning. Do I have to be more concerned because I will pretty much be stoned on hydro for 48 hours strait and then stop? Or is 48 hours of heavy use not enough time to develop any serious withdrawls? Thanks!!

In my experience, a few days of constant use is enough to become physically dependent on opiates, after previous addiction. However you would probably only have very mild withdrawals if any. I'd be more worried about all that acetaminophen. Hope you're doin a CWE on those norcos!

Naaa, I don't want to waste the hydro. But they are 325's so I can take 12 a day without going over the acetaminophen daily-maximum of 4 grams. I have been a retard in the past and taken up to 8 grams in one day though, that scared me but my shit wasn't even pale-colored(from decreased liver function). Although I don't want to push my luck.

Well, youre on a 3 day binge, tops. So I dont think you'll die or anything. Honestly if you're really only getting high for 2 days I don't see the need for tapering off. You'd just be increasing the chance of physical dependence drawing out your use like that.

Nah bro, you straight. you really shouldnt have any "withdrawls". what you will have of course is a come down of sorts. you will just feel bad, because of course you dont feel liek you have for the past few days. just dont go over a few days. With hydros i havnt noticed a tolerance really develop until running for about a week or so.

Cold water extraction should waste almost none of the hydrocodone if done correctly, and it's a lot better safe than sorry when it comes to apap overdose.

Ok man so here's how it is for ME anyways...

Yes you can become dependant but not on the same level as someone who shoots dope daily or anything. I do the same thing but I CWE... its very important to do that... well today I didn't but the first dose of a binge I don't.

I myself do not have a tolerance (I guess I do but I take 2 weeks off, and then binge for 3 days or so with it - 50 pills every 12-14 days)... which is crazy because I take 90mg hydrocodone (10/ 325 norco) and it gives me energy but yet sedation at the same time.... it makes me productive more or less....

Anyways when I run out after 24/7 abuse of high amounts of hydro I don't feel much for "withdrawals/dependency". After about 36 hours in or so I sometimes get stomach cramps and diarrhea, but not bad... that lasts a day or so. I feel pretty down as well and depressed for the first 24 hours or so after stopping my use.

I usually average 150-170mg hydrocodone in one day. Three days or so on.... 10-14 days off... I don't use other opiates at the moment either...

So all in all, yes it is possible to get dependant but at that amount for that amount of time, it should not be bad at all.

But dude, cold water extract your hydro from now on.... I know I just took 9 norco and I'm sayin that, but like I said my first dose is the only dose I don't CWE... I don't know how unsafe that is but I CWE everything following the first dose so my liver doesn't have to suffer too much as the max is 4 grams.

90mg. the idea of that amount makes me laugh it sounds rediculous but theres people out there who take more MUCH more I imagine.

To the OP you should be ok, just CWE from now on.

*EDIT
When I said I do not have a tolerance I know I may sound like a retard by saying that, but I honestly think my tolerance is natural... ever since I did H two years back and then not doing any opiate for months, I dosed up on the hydro at 90mg and honestly it feels the same as it always did... it sucks I have to take so much though. I think my expectations have changed since messing around with stronger opiates or something but ever since Dope my experiences have never been the same with the weaker pain medicines as they use to be. I don't use every day either. H and shit, its been 2 years....

No...there is absolutely no way you are going to develop any kind of dependence in that amount of time. There isn't even a need to taper.

Yeah, unless of course you were addicted before fairly recently, then three days could set your mind running and mabey make you more aware of your extremities in an uncomfortable sort of way.

Maybe he was on some other opiates before. People forget about cross tolerance and think "I'm clean of xxxxx now that I'm on xxxxx instead".

I find opiates interesting. I have a lot of 30mg codeienes (no paracetemol) and some dhc but I don't plan on getting more. I do like the effect tho, and I can see how easy it would be to get addicted.

But man, a couple of days? I don't you can addicted to anything in that time span!

a couple of days is certainly possible, but only if you've been addicted before. physical dependence builds a lot more quickly the second, or third, or fourth time around.

It took me around a month and a half of daily repeated doses of opiods to notice WDs once I stopped.

After I became dependant on them a few days use and I will notice that general crappy feeling onec stoped.

to the OP, i don't think you would have much to worry about besides the mental part. i've gone a few days on opiates just a week after stopping a long-term habit (i.e. right after the physical WDs stopped), and i didn't get anything too severe afterwards, although i'm sure it vastly increased future cravings. everyone's different though, so i'm not saying everyone can do that and avoid w/d again, but in your case, i really don't think u have been doing enough for long enough to have to deal w/ anything much physically

took about a month of using hydrocodone 10/325 daily as scripted (40mg on not PT days, more on PT days) to gain dependency and mild physical W/Ds. 3 days isn't long enough.

You should CWE if you plan on taking that much Tylenol.
