How often can one take MDAI and still be "safe" ?

I have Cyclothymic Disorder , ADHD and Anxiety issues. (Currently not taking any medication, aside from the rare benzo which is "taken as needed")

I have tried MDAI and so far I have enjoyed the experience.

I tried low dosages (to be on the safe side) after an allergy test.
First I tried 40mg dissolved in water on an empty stomach, after an hour I realized I wasnt feeling anything (maybe some slight "warmth", comfort .... though very minor) . So I decided to dose another 40mg.

It was a good experience, not over whelming or underwhelming . At the end of it, around 4 hour later, I felt content , and relaxed and sedated.

So I'm asking myself now, how often can I do this ?
I understand this is an RC and there's not much info / studies on it yet.

I think you answered your own question. MDAI is a research chemical and no one knows how dangerous it could possibly be. If you treat it like MDMA, then I would wait 1-2 months before taking it again.

My thoughts exactly, if I did RCs, I would not use this drug more than 6-10 times per year.

Aside from "we don't know the full risks yet" (which is true), it's good to limit use of any serotonin-releasing drug. The jury is still out on whether MDMA causes permanent brain damage, but it does deplete serotonin and cause receptors to grow back abnormally. We just don't know whether it's permanent and how that affects actual functioning. It's prudent to assume that other serotonin-releasers do the same thing to a different extent. MDAI acts primarily on serotonin with little dopamine stimulation if I remember correctly.

Listen to your own body, as it's the best guide you have when there are no studies to reference. If you get bad comedowns or after-effects, slow down or stop using completely. There is no set threshold for how many times you can do MDAI safely in a day, week, month or year. Lack of side effects doesn't guarantee safety, but few toxic drugs damage the body/brain without producing SOME palpable side effects along the way. Don't ignore them.

I agree with everyone else really, treat it like MDMA, as it's very closely related. Also listen to your own body. If your finding there's no effects on your mood afterwards, you might be able to get away with taking it once a fortnight. I think if you took it any more often than that you'd be rinsing all the serotonin out of your brain, and start having pretty bleak moods.

"not over whelming or underwhelming . At the end of it, around 4 hour later, I felt content , and relaxed and sedated. "

That is all this substance does. Increasing the dose wont increase the positive effects you mentioned. You will only feel more "spaced out" and worse for wear the next day.

I went through a spell of using quite a lot of mdai, but as im currenly withdrawing off of opiates, i dont want to be fucking around with serotonin releasers as im likely to need all the serotonin ive got.

MDAI is considered to be a very safe chemical by its inventor, i think he meant that in terms of neuro-toxicity. But I'd still take on board what evryone has said about the frequency of taking it and serotonin depletion.
