How much Xanax to take?

I have been scripted for 0.25MG Xanax and I just want to achieve that nice mellow-like buzz but I dont want to end up falling asleep and lossing my memory.
So what would be the typical dose for this kind of mellowish-like buzz?
My weight is like 220 pounds.

Im asking because I dont want to end up blacking out or falling into a deep sleep.

We can't tell you how much Xanax to take. The right amount to get a "buzz" yet not pass out or black out varies SO much from person to person. The safest thing would be slightly increasing your dose until you get where you want to be, like trying 0.5mg or .75mg - you can always take more if it's not enough, but if you take too much you can easily end up doing stupid shit and not even remembering what happened. An average recreational dose for someone who does not have a very high tolerance is typically 0.5mg-3 mg.

agree. up around 2-3mg is where i start to black out. ive used benzos a lot and still i pass the threshold of memory loss at like 2mg. im around 150-155 lbs. id go for .75 to start off.
Sucks with the .25 tho man, gotta take like handfuls of those little white pills haha.

I don't even understand what the "buzz" concept of benzo's it because to me it doesn't exist. Only few times I have tried to abuse and I took 2mgs of alprazolam (no tolerance) and drank few beers. What happened? Nothing, except I felt relaxed which doesn't correlate to buzz to me.

Dang, my father uses Alprazolam for sleep, when my ex shrink prescribed it to me, it would never make me sleep.
How bad do you really _need_ it? Please take my word that once the habit sets in, specially for long time (benzo users
come to forget for how long they've been using it), it is much harder to refrain than opiates, IMHO, and the cold turkey
is dangerous and very unrecommended. And over time it _will_ fuck your memory, but it should return back to normal
after you realize that benzos aint no cure for your problems... Or that it doesn't really has any sort of 'buzz' on its own.

I dont like benzos either....but I have to take them for my panic attacks.
Opiates work for me the best.

Xanax is not a recreational drug. I've been prescribed 90x 1mg footballs a month for my social anxiety disorder. When I am around a lot of people i do not know my whole body gets rly sweaty my hands shake uncontrollably my pulse and blood pressure rise and i gasp for breaths of air while im talking like i can't catch my breath. I was taking 3mg xanax a day, spaced out over the whole day of course. It's too expensive tho. Which is why I ordered a bunch of pure powder from good ole communist china. Now if only I could find some solubility numbers grrrr.
