How much Xanax is safe to mix with Alcohol?

How much Xanax is safe to mix with whiskey? I have never taken alprazolam (or any benzos for that matter) before and as far as alcohol goes I'm what most would consider a "lightweight". I was thinking about taking .5 mg and having 2 drinks of Whiskey. Would that be considered "safe" or is that just a recipe for disaster?

Well, i will say this. Im 5'4" and 123lbs. And a couple years ago i took .5mg and drank like 6 beers and I did NOT like the feeling. I felt almost paralyzed. I was camping and went to my moms truck and just passed out.



Maybe let someone else reply back first. Because as for the safety, i hear to err on the side of caution with mixing alcohol and benzos and wanna say maybe no, but .5mg is considered a low dose.
 
0mg alprazolam mixed with alcohol is the only "safe" amount.
Any other strength would be considered as "unsafe" IMO.

Mixing benzos and alcohol is never a good idea, but this passage particularly worries me. You've never taken any benzos, but want to mix one with hard liquor right out of the gate when you don't have a high tolerance for alcohol anyway?

I mean, you should never do that, but even moreso in this case.
 
To be honest if you have no experience with benzos I wouldn't recommend mixing them even at low doses mainly cuz you will regret the way you act trust I been there enough times lol
 
None...you've got no experience. But in case you go off doing it anyway, .25mg with 1-2 beers. I honestly think they should never be mixed
