So i've got 10 mg of hydrocodone and that is how much I usually take since I've pretty much just started taking it to get high and that is enough to make me happy.

Now I've got some Ativan and am wondering how much (if at all) will it potentiate the hydrocodone.

How much would 1 mg ativan potentiate? i want the lowest dosage with good effects

thanks

"How much" is a bit subjective, but since you usually take 10mg of hydrocodone that 1mg of Ativan (lorazepam) will add a bit to the nod and euphoria of the hydrocodone. 1mg is a good starting dose so I'd say you've got the right idea. That is, of course, assuming you don't have a benzo tolerance.

Also, avoid consuming alcohol with this combination.

i don't drink at all.

and yeah i dont have a tolerance to either benzos or opiates.

You think I will notice a differance with 1 mg or should i take more?

Without a tolerance to benzos you'll notice a difference for sure. Any more lorazepam and you'll probably just go to sleep.

Also, I wouldn't go above those dosages for somebody without tolerance to either benzos or opiates anyway, for the sake of harm reduction.

Just a side note, I dunno if you've seen it already but I recommend checking out The Ultimate Opiate Potentiation Thread v2.0, loads of good info on mixing benzos and opiates as well as other potentiators (besides benzos).

As always, err on the side of caution when mixing opiates and benzodiazepines.

Taking more is just overkill and might just make you pass out, 1 mg is a perfect starting dose for Atvian in order to feel good, but also be able to function and stay awake.

No reason to do anymore. Also, benzos do not technically "potentiate" opiates, they synergize, I am just saying this because there is a big difference. Something which inhibits the enzyme that breaks down a particular substance etc. is a potentiator. This is more or less just two highs working together, to create a better high.

Ive been taking hydrocodone for almost a year for back pain & about 2 weeks ago, I mixed it with .5mg Ativan & I did feel more euphoric. Definitely felt the difference but if you wanna potentiate, you should add a 350mg Soma with your hydrocodone, you will definitely enjoy it better than the Ativan.

I find benzos often taint an opiate high. With no tolerance to either you will likely fall asleep. The best opiate potentiator I have found is soma. Back in the day a soma and a norco 10 would rock my socks. However be cautious when mixing any opiates with other CNS depressants.

^Exactly. Because this has been discussed many times (and many times over in the Opiate Potentation Thread) I'm going to close this, OP, PM me if you have any other questions. :)
