How much water do you drink a day?

yeah but isn't it dangerous to drink more than 10 glasses of water a day?
If you drink it all at once. Drinking upwards of ten glasses of water a day is fine as long as it is done throughout the day.

I've noticed a bit of delirium shortly following drinking three 12-ounce glasses of water (I was really thirsty), and therefore will never drink that much that quickly (I downed 'em all in probably not even two minutes).

Haha, so this is an e-penis sizing competition now, is it? :p
Ahaha, not at all, mate. Just figured I'd point out to that person that "tons and tons" is rather relative. :P

I sometimes do cold drinks to lower body temperature. That doesn't seem like a bad idea.

:)

I don't know really how much water I drink a day, but it may be a gallon or more if one factors in the ice cubes.

As of lately, I drink, usually on average, about 5 to 6 bottles of water a day. Use to drink nothing but Gatorade/Powerade, as well as other sugary drinks such as Ice-Tea and Fruit Punch. Last year during the summer, I was tripping on LSD and was drinking water just to replenish my fluids, and realized water is everything, and nothing at the same time. It's everything in that our whole body is made up of water. And it's nothing, in that it is literally nothing but this fluid, this clear liquid that we use to rehydrate.

Ever since that day, I've been buying cases of water at a time, and keep a case next to my bed at all times. I constantly open new bottles, and try to drink nothing but water. Occasionally I get a desire for some flavored drinks, and will have a fruit punch or maybe some orange juice, but that's about it. Really the only two things I drink now is Water, with the occasional glass of Orange Juice in the morning. Boy do I love orange juice!

I'm an 18 y/o, 145-pound male weight training 6 days a week and growing. Usually my minimum intake of water itself is 8 glasses a day, but i usually end up having more when i either drink, eat something salty, work out hardcore, do drugs or just cause i feel like it.

I can't stand dehydration :3

That's excellent that you had that revelation man, and that you drink all that water--But all those plastic cases aren't good for the environment or the pocketbook. Have you tried tap water or thought about getting an inexpensive home filtration system?

Nah never really thought about it till now. Just never crossed my mind, I guess. Investing in a home filtration system would be an excellent idea. I'm gonna look into that!

Great suggestions re: the bottled water guys - I thought the same thing when I read those posts.

Busty and I rent a water filter from a company here in Brisbane and buy the water bottles to go in it. It provides cooled, filtered water through a tap and is invaluable for a family who drink a majority of water. :)

The best part is the large bottles are recyclable.

When we buy our next property (we're renting at the moment) I want to invest in a filtered water faucet system to avoid the bottles entirely.

stupidly drank 7-ish litres of liquid yesterday, might have been more, never again. got a taste for water mixed with juice and through work i ended up hammering it. thought i was gonna pass out a few times, head went all dizzy like from nitrous or something, felt fatigued, sick, and my bp went up, cant of been good for me. urine was clear for awhile, then went slightly darker again, then lighter, then darker, weird. think i was trying to compensate for the amount of abuse my kidneys got over the weekend, had some kidney aches, clearly over did the water trying to fix the problem. worked though, had no aches,

"Hammering" anything other than nails normally isn't a good thing. ;)

Sevenish liters is okay for some people *cough*like me*cough*, but again, it needs to be drank throughout the day, not all at once or a majority "hammered". The most I drink at one go nowadays is about 24 ounces. But I've learned my own limits. YMMV.

actually i suppose it was kinda spaced out, but most of it was drank within 8 hours, but still... didn't feel too good after that haha

I drink exactly a gallon (128 fl. oz) a day. However, sinced i moved to a dryer climate i am still dehydrated all the time...pisses me off

^ That's your body telling you to drink more then.

I haven't been as adamant about water intake lately, and am suffering from a lot of headaches and fatigue... Need maor watah. :P

bit random but if i go out hammering alcohol ive been drinking water inbetween drinks and before bed. dont get hangovers or feel rough. people find it odd if i order a double vodka and coke along with water... i think its clever tbh. or just common sense

Alcohol dehydrates the body. I think a lot of people just assume water won't go well with Alcohol.

Water goes with everything, though :)

Or they simply dont understand the importance of hydration while under the influence of any substance, not just Alcohol which is basically the most important one to drink water along with except for stimulants.
