I just joined and I spend quite a bit of time on bl, maybe an hour a day. First real forum site I've ever been on and honestly I'm kinda addicted. So...how much time for you?

First off, welcome to bluelight, PortalFloyd. We're all very glad to have you here.

There's no such thing as too much time on bluelight. It's tons healthier than Facebook. :D
With me, it varies. As a mod, I try to visit this site at least five times daily, throughout the day and night. Sometimes, it's a little less. But most of the time, I do visit more than that. There are a lot of great people here, so it makes it hard to stay away. There are also a lot of people here who need our help in other forums. I'm sober now, but I was the king of excess in my droog days. I like to pay it forward and try to help others who I see are making the same mistakes I did. If only one out of ten heeds my advice, then I consider it all worthwhile.

Thanks for the welcome. I credit this forum for helping me get through my methadone withdrawals, so I'd love to know how everyone found this place, what brought them here to bl because it's a great site.

I'm only off Bluelight if I am eating my three meals, watching a movie or out with my family or friends.

Once in a while only, forums are very quiet & threads are slow. Can do a catch up once a fortnight/month

A lot. Just like bobby friend, if I don't have plans and I'm at home I've probably got BL open on one of my browser pages.
Oddly enough, most of the time I spend on BL is concurrent with my tv watching time. I just kinda half ass pay attention to both, so my posts tend to have bad grammar, spelling, syntax, etc.

I've been a member so long that I can't even stand to post in the drug related focus forums. It's more of a social/bullshitting thing for me anymore.

But all in all, I love my BL friends. I wish I could meet a lot of you guys.

a lot. i agree that is is healthier than facebook, as long as you stay away from the drug-related forums. i interact with the facebook people in real life. bluelight is a different avenue. and actively posting beats lurking. if i do not participate in certain threads, after a while i start to really miss them. keeping up with the film thread and fashion thread is an important part of my day.

i definitely do think there is such thing as too much bluelight. it can be a day drain.

Bl is addictive because it has a variety of forums where you can acquire knowledge and share your knowledge. Bluelight made me an information junkie.

The past few days it's been a lot. Been waiting for Skype meetings between continents, so it's a good way to pass the time and wait for the tardy.

aint nothing like the 'tardy as a distraction as you wait for the tardy.

i check bl throughout the day. it breaks up bouts of work/play hyperfocus. it's downtime.

I hardly ever get on here anymore, as this is pretty much the only forum that's worth a damn anymore. Maybe an hour once a week. I prefer FB, or even Twitter, TBH.

20 minutes to borwse, post a bit, prolly up to 2 hours if I need to read up on the excellent info here.

Big forum though, sometimes looks like a huge roast dinner.
