Bupe How much Subutex for a 100 mg ish a day Norco user?

Hello all,

I have been taking norco and Oxy for about 2 years now, my heaviest days I might of taken close to 300 mg a day, but in the last week or so it has been close to 100 mg a day. The last Norco I took was 9 pm on lets call it day 1. On day 2 I took 1 8 mg Subutex orally (just swallowed it). at 12 pm I felt a little something about an hour into it, so wondering if there was a better way I came across this wonderful site. About 4 hours later I tried to snort maybe .05 mg
and didn't really feel much and what I did feel might of been more of a placebo than anything since I have never snorted anything before. At 8:30 pm I tried to snort 1 mg and am still waiting for anything to happen. So I was wondering if me taking the whole 8 mg in the morning is what had stopped me from feeling any buzz or was it my high tolerance to the Norcos?

You basically wasted an entire, pill, man. You CANNOT SWALLOW SUBOXONE/SUBUTEX. Geez, I thought everyone knew that by know.

You have to stick it under your tongue. And 100mg hydrocodone really isn't much, so start with half a pill. Please, refer to the buprenorphine/Suboxone megathread. Thank you.
 
As Lorne said, Suboxone (buprenorphine) does NOTHING (good at least) orally. You can not swallow them. You're supposed to let them sit under your tongue for almost a half hour, then spit them out.
 
Taking buprenorphine doesn't block the effects of buprenorphine lol
only at around 32mg does the ceiling effect occur, otherwise it's just OTHER opiates that will be blocked, not the bupe itself.
 
Less is more with Buprenorphine, most of the time for most people. If 100mg of Norco is your habit, 2mg should be sufficient of a dose for you. Should is the key word, it isn't always the same for everyone.

I would really suggest making the kick un-aided. 100 mgs hydroc is not much and not a strong OP, w/d won't be fun but will be doable without hard opiods.

Problem is ur going from a weak opiod (hydrocodone) to a strong (semisynthetic) opiod (Subutex) to get off the weak one. I'd just kick with the bare essentials: Immodium, a benzo to sleep and a betablocka and or some clonidine.

Are you taking the tabs whole or filtering them out with a cold water filtration session ? If not , I'd really recommend starting Cwe'ing. I'll even give you a summary of the technique:

buy coffee filters (work best 4 me), crush Norco tabs too powder and throw it in a glass of water +-50ml, put it in freezer for +- 40 mins.

Once solution is cool it should have separated, the apap should be clumped together.

Now pour it THROUGH the coffee filters and the solution should be clear and very bitter tasting. YOUR HYDROCODONE(highly soluble) WILL BE IN THE WATER AND THE APAP (insoluble +-) WILL ALL COLLECT IN THE FILTER SAVING YOUR LIVER.

THERE SHOULD BE A BIG CLUMP OF APAP U'D NORMALLY CONSUME, THROW IT AWAY SAFELY.

100 mg of hydro, down from 300 mg a day not that long ago, is enough cause strong physical wd. Everyone has their own preferences for how they like to kick opiates, but I would say that stopping that unaided is not for the faint of heart. I have had troubles coming off far less.
