How much ritalin to get me safely high?

Actually, ritalin doesn't specifically target serotonin uptake. Cocaine does, to a very large degree hence why it's so much more potent and addictive, much like methamphetamine to amphetamine. Although when injected users cannot feel a difference, or find it hard to distinguish them, it is easily identifiable to me anyway which is which if i was presented with two powders to snort. I have tried both substances, both are equally as moorish, but cocaine's comedown is much more anger filling and depressing.
 
^Serotonergic activity plays much of a lesser role in addiction in comparison to dopamine which targets the reward circuit and produces reward and pleasure which naturally causes operant conditioning to activate its assignment in repeating rewarding behaviors.

Nonetheless, I think you missed my point on why cocaine cannot be practically used to self medicate.

I'm not discussing the addictive potential of both drugs.
 
Sorry Chromo, i wasn't adressing you with my post. More directed at arab.

I understand that - but what I'm saying is that with ritalin of course you feel depressed after you've binged and you're coming down, but no where near the same level as that of cocaine. Hence why I feel and think that it is a much more addictive substance as you know that when you redose you WILL feel that intense pleasure again briefly. Re-dosing MPH does absolutely nothing except prolong and worsen side effects.

I agree with you completely in that you cannot use cocaine to self medicate unless its pharmaceutically produced to be taken in an oral route of administration though.

Indeed chloro. I completely agree with what you say 100% of the time to be honest. You seem really up to date and knowledgable regarding drugs and I respect you fully for that. :)

No problem Chromo, I think that this thread has come to an end anyway and I appreciate your kind words yourself. Thank you for helping out around BDD, it's much appreciated.

To the OP of this thread - if you have further questions regarding MPH/ritalin feel free to PM me, or if you'd like the thread re-opened. The key thing to note here is that if you're not experiencing a recreational high from the doses you're taking then it's best to scrap the drug and move on.
