If it's real opium you can do it sublingually, kind of numbs but burns at the same time. It seems morphine meconate is absorbed better than the sulfate.
Indian opium is about 10% morphine, sometimes 15%, so I'd do 100-300mg. If you smoke it, it'd be best to use a real opium pipe with an opium lamp.Don't smoke it with a direct flame like it's weed, you'll burn the opium and it won't work good. If you can't get an opium pipe, you can stick it on a pin and heat up a piece of metal like a wire/hanger/knife and touch the opium with it, sucking up the smoke with a straw. If that's too hard you can use foil and straw. Let the opium drip down the foil and follow it with the lighter sucking up the smoke. Foil does seem to ruin the taste of the opium, still tastes pretty good though. If that's too hard you can use a meth pipe, it seems to retain the flavor but it's harder to roll the opium around in the pipe; this causes it to burn more. You want to vaporize the opium
I heard that in the golden triangle they mix the opium with aspirin/caffeine powder, supposedly it potentate it. Never tried it, but aspirin can acetylate stuff and caffeine increases heroin's volatility, so maybe it does work.
After your done vaporizing the opium, don't throw out the ashes. The ashes, or dross, contains almost as much morphine as opium.
If it smells like vinegar or is really bitter when smoked, you have heroin. Raw opium looks kind of like taffy, it breaks into powder easily. Cooked opium is also usually an amber/brown color, though sometimes it's black due to charring in the cooking process and aging. Do you know what kind of opium you have, raw or chandu(cooked) opium?
