How Much Money Have You Burned

Throughout the years I can say that I spent thousands and thousands of dollars.... even before I hit 18. I can say that because I would buy expensive pills all the time. I was doing multiple 80mg oxy's a day and that wasn't all I was doing... Now that I do heroin, I cut down on cost but then again it still adds up... shit I blew over 800 dollars on heroin so fast, in a month maybe and I don't even use opiates like I use to. If I was in a heavy blown addiction right now I'd be spending a lot more which is so sad...

Throughout the time when I was heavily addicted to pills I didn't even have a legit job. Never got a job until I turned 18... I just hustled a lot and did illegal activities (luckily never sold myself). I did do a lot of other shit and I'm just happy I didn't fuck my life up... wouldn't ever want to go back. Life isn't fun when all you think about is how am I going to get money? If I do this or that I'll get this much money? Let me call up so and so to see if they need assistance? Wait, maybe if I call this person they'll give me money for clothes or something.... I need to get money, I need to get high.

Then you get high and comedown... and it starts all over again.
 
This is a very rough estimate. But in 4.5 years of drug use I'm guessing between 12,000 and 15,000 buckaroonies
 
I have no idea of the exact number but I know if I had it all backright now in one big pile... I'd feel like I just won the lottery. It's definitely in the hundreds of thousands but I'd say less than $500,000
 
I'm not even really sure how to calculate this. I've been using for 10+ years, though not daily through most of it. Really daily for 4 or so years. However alot of that is from prescription drugs (methadone, amphetamine, clonazepam, alprazolam, etc). I've atleast spent likely $30,000, but most likely a lot more.
 
Well counting cigarettes and alcohol which I started at the age of 13 now I'm 19 almost 20 (birthday is in a few weeks). I would say well over 10 grand.

Its fucked up man. All that money when the next day yer sober again ya don't get much outta drug use. Well actually yes ya do. the greatest moments of my life were when I was under the influence of drugs. Fuck the money I would never cash that in for the life I've lived so far.
 
Hahaha me and a friend worked this out once. Over the course of our drug honeymoon we spent about $15,000 in a YEAR. Mostly on pills and powder. Utter rediculousness. I'd be flat out spending $1500 a year now... Hahaha.

Ha, I work in retail in Oz and make $21 per hour.... I don't know whats goin on in the US, I think they tax things differently though... alot of things are cheaper.. guarantee they dont pay $17 for a pack of smokes over there... having said that... if anyone OD's in Australia it's free hospital care... lol

Good thread. I've just sat down with a calculator and worked out a rough amount. In the last 17 years I've spent approx £850,000,00.

Think I'll go and read the suicide thread now. 8)
 
I've been using for close to ten years now, nothing I'm proud of. I'll be 19 on the first. I started paying for drugs, pot, and alcohol about 4 years ago. I have lied, cheated, and stolen in order to pay for my addictions. I've been to rehab, I've been arrested, beat up, lost friends, family, and sacrificed a lot. I use daily, whatever I can get my hands on, and I can't find a single damn person that uses where I am now. Besides once in a blue-moon. Even then I have the means to pay for it just my areas so dry. So, when you ask 'what have I spent on drugs?' The only logical answer I have is; I have spent a lifetime, chasing.

I'm not gonna call you a fibber but running close to a £1000 per week drug habit for 17 years is flipping impressive. I dont know if I could do over $1,500 worth of drugs every single week and stay standing.
 
perhaps anywhere in between 10000 and 30000 euro's , that's in 10 years . excluding cigarettes and booze.

not very much for a daily opiate addict but I was always creative with the poppy pods and the free methadone and whatnot.
 
I'm not speakin for everyone but I'm sure there's some who agree that its funny how were poor n shit but we manage to spend thousands of dollers on drugs. Hahaha.

It is kind of funny, and while it should depress me, well, it doesn't. It kind of fills me with hope, even, because I know that when all is said and done, when I move onto another project and put this part of my life behind me, I'll no longer worry about money in the same way that I did before. I know now that, one way or another, I'll come up with the money... lol
 
I've spent nearly 3 thousand on heroin in the past four months alone....considering I've been actively using drugs (with many periods of small usage) since 2008, I've spent near 10,000. Probably a little less, closer to 7 or 8K but either way it's a lot of money.
 
in the last 2-3 months i've spent about 5,000-6,000. prior to that had been clean for 3 years. but i'm not addicted again, just dabbling. prices are just insane lately for 30s and coke.

i've spent probably $60,000 or more during my 4 years of heaviest usage.
