How Much Money Have You Burned

Don't wanna know. An indeterminably large amount. Not too proud of the way I've structured my, uh...budgets in the past.

I can even spend exorbitant sums of money on cheap booze. One month a few years back I had an unusually large sum of money and blew through $2k in two weeks on the bottom-of the barrel selections split between two girls (we were both 5'4" and weighed less than 120 lbs) . But what I spend can vary dramatically depending on many factors. There's really no way for me to even calculate a ballpark figure. Though I wonder if there were someway to magically see the exact amount I've spent if it'd be more or less than what I was expecting. I'm a heavy smoker, and I know the sum I've spent on drugs/alcohol has got to surpass that of cigarettes. So hmm...I would imagine it'd be quite a bit

What's worse to think about is how many things I've sold or pawned to get money for drugs. With alcohol I would just steal it if I had no money. I would never advise that, of course. Thankfully I was never caught. Jeez.
 
over a decade of addiciton ive spent somewhere in the ballpark of a million Canadian... just even in the last 8 months or so of my addiction i blew threw a 100,000 doller settlement, plus money on top of that....
 
Surprisingly not a lot. I'm not quite sure how this happened...

Most of my money went toward E when I was raving, but I don't think I spend more than $200 that whole time. I prob spent more on the event tickets themselves than the drugs. Weed... well, in my early 20's I invested $500 in the equipment to grow it, and grew $2000 worth. I re-cooped my money, a bit of profit, and then had a lot to smoke after that.

The city I'm in now, everyone smokes weed so I never really have to buy any. People will even give me some of my own out of friendship. Even things like LSD and shrooms have been shared with me. I think maybe it's because I'm a healer by personality and profession, and I'm always helping people. People just give me stuff. I haven't paid for drugs in the past 5 years.

I'd imagine though if I were into harder drugs my pocket book would take a hit.
 
I had to do this exercise both times I was in rehab. The last time I had to honestly calculate everything (starting with beer and cough syrup and weed when I was a kid to blow, opiates and booze as an adult) it was well over $600,000. I made great money in my 20's and blew a vast majority of my earnings on nonsense (like drugs). Thank God its over.
 
When I posted four months ago I was estimating 19-20 grand. In the past four months I've spent around 500, which is pretty good for me. I managed to get almost all my weed and all my psychs in bulk this year, and probably spent under 2 grand in total for 2012, which is much better than my average. Although much of why I spent less this year was due to not having solid employment, I am still proud.

I like this thread because it encourages us to remain rooted in reality. Since I have not bought any drugs at all this year so far, I am going to start a log for all drug expenses in the year 2013. Who's with me?
 
About 500 on nitrous

About 800 on weed

About 300 on mushrooms

About 200 on LSD

About 200 on misc. RC's

About 100 on alcohol



Good chunk of change... Damn that's over $2000 already.

Good thing an Adderall 'script only costs like $xxx for 1,500 mg :D

I'm only 20 years old...

I've spent virtually nothing on drugs when compared to how much I did. Maybe a few thousand at most.
