How much mephedrone is a dangerous amount?

I took .8mg of mephedrone about 3 hours ago and now my heart is racing and i feel very anxious and I was wondering what is the overdose amount and what are the symptoms of overdose on this drug? Also I have some 100mg trazodone's because the way it feels now, I won't be getting any sleep any time soon so will i be safe taking 200mg of trazodone to try and get some sleep? Thanks guys

I don't believe that data is available due to the lack of any real research into the effects of the drug, you would be looking for the LD50 value but ASAIK no one has done the testing.

When Meph was legal in the UK, or even now since its still widely available as a street drug a gram in a sitting would not be considered a massive amount, you should be fine, I assuming you mean .8g.

I would not take the Trazodone it is not quite an SSRI and I'm far from a doctor but Mephedrone messes with serotonin and I would be cautious about mixing in soem other chemical that acted on you brain chemistry in that way.

To my shame I have taken multiple grammes in one night and stayed up several days in a row taking more, this is a stupid way to use any substance but I'm just reasusuring you that you haven't over done it and should be fine, do you have access to and Benzos as they would calm you, the residual stimulation should start to ease pretty soon, try not to let anxiety get the better of you.

Do you mean .8 in one go or in a session? In a session that's not excessive, but without a tolerance assuming it's not been cut heavily that is a pretty extreme dose.

Having been there more than I care to admit, overdose symptoms might include [and in square brackets some advice]:

-palpitations
-confusion
[Quite often a side effect of dehydration in a long session from my xp, a pint of water does wonders]
-Overheating
[Try and keep yourself hydrated]
-Anxiety
[Benzos]
-Seizure
-Vasoconstriction (blue/purple/black elbows/knees or extremeties, you might feel v. cold)
[Light exercise get some blood flowing (go for a walk), or taking a HOT bath/shower can help loads, NOTE: in extreme cases some people have required an ambulance due to the severity of this].
-Blacking out
[Only ever experienced or seen this with heroic/suicidal dosing]

It's been a few hours now since you posted, hope you're in a better situation^^. Meph has a reasonably short duration of main effects, between about 4-6 hours taken orally.

Don't take the trazodone, it is actually a metabolite of MCPP, a piperazine. It is not an SSRI, but it does inhibit the re-uptake of serotonin, along with dopamine and norepinephrine . It may also directly affect your serotonin, as in releasing some, which could be dangerous to mix with other serotonin agents.

Why is releasing more serotonin in an instance like this dangerous? I just wanna know bout the serotonin nothing else.

There is always some concern about this :-

This may not be applicable in this case, but throwing another chemical into the mix that acts upon the OP's serotonin brain chemistry didn't seem like a wise move. Little is known about Mephedrone but I do no it has some serotonin action.
