How much Hydoxyzine Pam can I take?

Hello everyone,

I'm new here & have some really basic questions about hydroxyzine pam.
I just took my night medicines (Imipramine & Abilify) about 50 minutes ago.
I can't get relaxed out & I am new to the Imipramine & Hydroxyzine Pam.
I just started taking the Imipramine tonight & haven't took the Hydroxyzine Pam yet.
My doctor prescribed 25 MG for 3 times a day each time I eat.
So my questions are:

How much Hydroxyzine Pam can I take starting out (I weight 140Ibs.)?
Will it hurt me if I take the Hydroxyzine Pam in whatever MG you guys suggest while also taking the Abilify & Imipramine at the same time?
How can I be sure that the MG you suggest won't hurt me?

hydroxyzine pamoate is completely safe to mix with the meds u currently are on. Hydroxyzine Pamoate, better known as "Vistaril", or Hydroxyzine HCL (Atarax), are Anti-histamines, an example of one is Benadryl. Vistaril/Atarax is about 2/3 stronger than Benadryl. Too much of any of these drugs can be bad and cause some very uncomfortable side effects (restless leg, Delusional, Nausea, Anti Social, confusion, (etc) this occurs when you take large quanitities at a time, yes at lower doses it can have antiolxyic-sedative effects, and calm you down, along can help with insomnia. They are nothing special, not controlled nor does have any recreational value. I enjoy atarax and vistaril for sleep and mild anxiety relief, these drugs in no way are even close to having any potential for negative side effects. IMO thery suck for anxiety relief, just heavy body relaxation wwith the same mental anxiety state, eventally u will fall asleep...only use when in jail or if LAST RESORT

Really Vistaril ia an anti histamine. I wouldn't try to abuse it as even higher dosages you won't feel any euphoria or "high effects". If you are only after looking for calming effects I would suggest 50 to 75mgs. Be warned this drug will dry you out in the sense you will be thirsty and well.....dry. Please this medication is not abusable but taken as directed will help with mild anxiety. I hope you feel better soon.

Well I suggest taking the hydroxyzine sparingly because after 4months of taking it as prescribed (As in daily or thrice daily) you will get a tolerance and it will be useless for you. My tablets are 50mg and I can take 1 or 2 my psych says and two without that tolerance I was talking about will relax you quite a bit and like others have said sleep will be easy to achieve. It's also really good to potentiate opiates IMO and IME, if you're into that. I've always taken 50mg 30mins before dosing and another 50 a so dose and it always adds to the high, just in case that sounds like something you'd be into. Enjoy!

i wouldn't take more than 50mg of hydroxazine and start with 25mg and if in 45min you feel you need more take one more i made the mistake of taking 4 the first time i tried it and i fainted

Do the Barr hydroxyzine caps contain injectable powder? Can hydroxyzine be injected? I'm thinking of doing it. If I use a wheel filter, what dangers go with shooting 25 mg hydroxyzine? Thanks.

I find hydroxyzine to be an amwesome opiate potentiator. Take 50mg about 30 minutes before you dose and it increases the nod and overall euphoria imo. It inhibits certain enzymes that process opiates and benzo's, therefore interfering with their ability to process them as efficiently, therefore increasing the duration and strength of the high.

Yea listen to this, take it as ordered by the doctor. Overdosing it will only lead to more thirst and crawling skin like all antihistamines.

No idea. But I've shot up hydroxizine (filtered atarax pills) combined with morphine a few times to avoid excessive histamine release. Worked out ok. I usually use 12.5 or 25mg. If you are thinking of just injecting hydroxizine alone then don't do it. It won't feel good, it won't feel bad, it will just be a waste of time.

You can only inject Hydroxyzine HCL, which goes under the name Atarax in the US. Vistaril is hydroxyzine pamoate, which is not water soluble and therefore cannot be injected.
