Opioids How much doe DPH potentiate?

I'm prescribed hydrocodone 7.5s for oral pain and they're helping a little bit. Thing is I sorta enjoy getting a buzz from them too. I took 10mg last night and then 1.5 hrs later I took around 5mg more because I wasn't satisfied with the effects and it still didn't really have me where I wanted. I understand diphenhydramamine potentiates opiates so I'm considering taking 25mg with my HC dose tonight. My question is.. Exactly how much does this potentiate the hydro? If I take 7.5mg HC and then 25mg DPH, do you think that it would do anything when 10+5 last night didn't? Or would I need to up the HC dose or up the DPH dose?

I've only got 4 pills left and I'm trying to conserve them, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a history of using DPH recreationally but I've since stopped, and I believe I have no tolerance to it
 
Bluelight is not here to help you get as high as possible. That said, DPH is not a miracle potentiator - it just makes the "high" more sedate and less itchy. If you didn't feel 15mg then I doubt you will feel 7.5mg plus diphenhydramine - you'll probably only feel the diphenhydramine.

Try 15mg (2 tabs) and 25mg of diphenhydramine. Eiother take the dph 1/2 hour before you dose the HC, or take the two together. And don't worry about dropping dead or stopping breathing, because you won't.

i find 25-50mgs goes along way for potentiating opiates. in addition, diphenhydramine is a subtrate of 2D6 and is known to inhibit this enzyme. most opiates are metabolized into inactive metabolites through this enzyme increasing the duration of action from your opiate of choice. last but not least, DPH will reduce any itchiness which i find to be a nuisanc

dose your benedryl 30-60mins before taking your opiate for maximum effects.
 
DPH won't change your dose, but will make it more sedating and the euphoria may be more appreciable with less itch distraction. When taking a buzzier/more stimulating opioid like oxycodone, I find it dirties the high a little, but it's a no-cons add-on for more sedating opioids. Promethazine is even better--more sedating (but won't knock you cold if you're nodding), and 50-100mg can often completely remedy itching.
