Opioids How much Codeine do you usually lose during the CWE

So I am going to do a cwe on codeine soon. the thing is what should be the minimum amount of pills you should normally do it on. Is 10, 30mg codeine pills worth doing a CWE on? How much codeine % of the original amount do you guys think is normally lost after the cwe is done ??

I was thinking 10 pills ( 300mg codeine) would probably change to about 250mg codeine, is that about right? so then i would just do 12-13 pills to get the full 300mg
 
Imo i lose about 30%, when i consider how a dose would feel if i'm taking the little pure 60 mg tabs, compared with how i feel off an extract on 32 8/500 cocodamol - 256mg of codeine - it feels like about 180 - 200 mg imo
 
I was wondering about this too. Is it worth it to do a cold water extraction on pills that are 500mg APAP and 5mg hydrocodone? I only have like 10 pills. I don't tolerate APAP well. Would the loss of part of the hydrocodone be too great to be worth trying to extract it? What about tablets containing 300mg of APAP and 30mg codeine? I have about 25 of those. Really don't want to be taking so much APAP but don't want to bother with the hassle of attempting extraction if I'm going to lose a lot of the hydrocodone or codeine, respectively, and/or possibly leave in a lot of the APAP.

Ok with 25 pills of 30mg codeine, you should definately do a CWE 25 pills is not really a small amount it would definately be worth it. For the hydrocodone though, i honestly think you should just pop a few then save the rest for another time.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking too. I am just taking them to help with methadone withdrawal anyways, so I'm just taking a little bit at a time and not trying to take some huge amount to get high, I just don't do well with APAP.

sucks..lol i personally can do 2 grams of apap + some opiate with like 4-5 beers and usually do on the weekends haha. and iam fine. its dif for everyone

You might not be fine later on, though.

I've seen what happens when someone is mentally and physically destroyed by alcohol and small amounts of opiates like codeine combined with paracetamol. It is very traumatic to watch a family member go to pieces and die within the space of a few short months.

best idea is to cwe 400mg or 480mg. 480mg would be all three boxes (co-codamol) but with a cwe you always lose at least some so making all three boxes seems like a good day. plus 480mg to a opiate naive person is quite mellow and good.
and never once have i seen anyone experience any itching or scratching or anything abnormal other than a little nodding.
so i would forget the urban legend about high dose codeine making the person red and itchy like hell. not true.
at least not for the majority, got 7-9 diff. friends to prove this story, none of them related. all did CWE 8/500'd 480mg codeine.
 
I think the more liquid you use, the less codeine you lose during the filtration. I mean if you have 50 mL water for 300 mg, that's 6 mg / mL codeine - but if you have 100 mL water, that's only 3 mg / mL codeine. I think something like 200 mL would be ideal. The filter paper sucks some of the liquid to itself, and some liquid stays on the wall of the glasses you're using (you could flush the containers you're using with a small amount of water also). Just my 2 cents. %)

dude... you're beating the f*ck out of your liver, but this isn't damage you are going to notice . One day your just gonna drop dead from liver failure, nobody can "tolerate" the damage that alcohol combined with apap does on the liver, so yea keep thinking your fine wait until you go for a check up and find out how fucked your liver is and then get denied on a liver transplant because your stupidity combined with a retarded combo of substance abuse got you there.

yea, histamine release is an urban legend. 8) Dude what the hell are you talking about, stop making shit up and get a link to prove what you are saying. And 480mg of codeine for a non-tolerant person could lead to an OD, your whole post in general is just fucking terribly against everything that blue light is about, HARM REDUCTION.

^While I do believe there is a high histamine-release associated with codeine, I don't get itchy at all from it. I thought I was an exception, but my friends don't notice it either really. Weird.

480mg without tolerance is a high dose for an opiate-naive person. I usually take 360mg (comes in 360mg OTC, spread out over a few hours. It makes for a great and noddy high when you don't have a high tolerance.)

Or I mix it with tramadol when I do have tolerance. =D

OT: 5% or so when done right.

The amount of active AND inactive ingredient you lose is based on your technique.

@tyler5, while 400mg codeine may be considered mellow to you, please remember that not everyone is regularly doing 3-methylfentanyl. You did say for an "opiate naive" person, but 400mg is way too large a dose to begin with.

Bro 480mg to a person with low opiate tolerance is ALOT lmao....Come on take it easy lol i did 150mg my first time and id say thats perfect for a first time, 480 is pretty much the top dose with codeine.
 
Some people say that they lose up to even 30% of the codeine amount they started with. That seems like alot though i dont think they do it right.
 
I find when I CWE , Because I use a t shirt , then set it and ring it until its dry I lose maybe 5% . When I use some brands i end up with the same amount of water , and with my normal one panefen plus I usually lose some water but it feels like in getting my full dose , which normally is 384mg (30x 12.8 mg codeine 200mg ibuprofen) , I'd estimate I end put with 350 or so .
