Bupe How much Bupe to take with a tolerance to opiates?

Hi, I've been taking Suboxone on and off for over a year now, I take it when I run out of my Oxy and Hydro that I get from my doctor. I have access to suboxone anytime i want btw. the ones I get are the 8/2 MG subs. To give some back ground I have a tolerance to Hydrocodone at like 45-70 MG at a time, Oxycodone 30-50 MG at a time. and Morphine 60-100 MG at a time (time release. So that's some background on my tolerance. I usually take half of a sub or a quarter of a sub sometimes. what dose should I be taking with this tolerance to get a buzz and not be in w/d ?? But anyways I'm not exactly sure how much sub to take to stay out of withdrawal and to not be depressed and maybe have a buzz. If anyone could help out and answer I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
 
i have another question, Do you spit out the bupe or swallow it? I have spit it out everytime except yesterday and got the worst headache of my life, I'm wondering if it's better to swallow or spit? thanks. Just curious. I could have gotten the headache from something else but idk. so what's ur opinions on that?
 
3-4 mg would be good for that tolerance.

I spit out 95% of the spit. I find you get the same effects but no headache, which I get when I swallow the spit.

Omg I thought I was the only one who got headaches and was crazy from it. also how long do u leave it under ur tounge. I usually leave it udner my tounge for like 30 min and then spit , sometimes ill forget abt it and it will be under it for over an hour lol.

I don't spit for like a minute, then spit til it's almost gone, then swallow the last little bit.
That works best for me.

I think it depends. The strips seem to dissolve very fast, not a minute, but maybe within 5 minutes on a good day it can dissolve.

The pills howver, do take 20-30 minutes to dissolve. I hate when I run out and have to take my girlfriends subs, as I get strips, and she gets generic pills, and the strips are far superior in every way.

It sticks to your mouth you don't really have a choice.

I said I spit after a minute. I keep the drug in my mouth until it dissolves.
 
Keeping the saliva in the mouth for 10 minutes is plenty to be be sure its absorbed but no harm keeping it in longer before spitting besides being hard on the teeth with all the citrus in the pills/films.
 
You can spit or swallow (lol okay I feel a little weird saying that). I had a doctor who told me that with Suboxone, the naloxone is left in the saliva... not sure how true that is, but it may explain the headaches.

The most important thing is to correctly take this medication, most people do it wrong. When you place the strip under your tongue, make sure you put it directly on the veins on the bottom of your mouth. Then put your tongue down, close your mouth and tilt your head down, so your chin is touching your chest. This keeps the saliva away from underneath your tongue, if the bupe dissolves into your spit you lose it, the whole point is to dissolve it into the veins at the bottom if your mouth.

Resist the urge to swallow or move your mouth until the medication is fully dissolved. Even though the strips dissolve quickly, I wouldn't swallow or spit out any saliva for a minimum of 10 minutes. If I have a lot if saliva in my mouth after the 10 min, I'll lift my tongue and let the saliva sit under my tongue for a few minutes in hopes that any medication excreted into my spit will absorb.

As for your original question, it's best to use buprenorphine for its intended purpose and not try and abuse it. Because it's a partial agonist opioid, it doesn't have many of the effects that other opioids produce (like euphoria, sedation, etc). So even if you have a low enough tolerance, you won't get the "high" you likely want and it'll jack up your tolerance to other opioids.
 
^ that's true I spit out the saliva and notice a big difference in how good I feel plus no headaches/stomach aches. When swallowed more naloxone gets absorbed and many find swallowing the saliva acts as a laxative. Shortly after swallowing you usually get an urge to go to the bathroom due to the naloxone weakening the hold the bupe has on your receptors that run along the intestinal tract, thus stimulating peristalsis.
 
I'm on straight bupe and think Suboxone is bullshit, I feel bad for anyone who has to take it and doesn't have the option of Subutex. The naloxone doesn't prevent abuse, it's just a marketing ploy. And regardless of whatever they say, you can feel the naloxone. It made me sick the few times I took it.
 
Your right Suboxone was a useless invention it does nothing besides maybe easing the constipation slightly but other than that its a stupid drug. I would rather get subutex but unless your pregnant you ain't getting it if you live in north america. Parts of Europe seems more with the times then north America but still many doctors buy into the bullshit. I Can't believe some doctors stupidity. I hate saying that about doctors because I haven't completed the ten years of med school they have but come on who can't read a few online studies and see how many addicts shoot up Suboxone despite having the naloxone in it. My doctor still thinks the naloxone blocks opiates not the bupe haha I just go along with her like I'm an idiot "oh really okay cool''. I don't speak up to doctors or correct them because I don't want to find a new one. If I was a qualified doctor I would get really annoyed by all the WiFi armed know it all's in today's age. But still some doctors sound really dumb and I have this new one who is really blond, its like I'm talking to Paris Hilton at times no word of a lie. Learning Medical terminology and going through med school is really hard so it makes me wonder how some doctors get all the way through school. I know first hand how much doctors need to memorise and how they got to stay on top of their shit all the time. But most of these bupe docs only work with addicts prescribing bupe so you think they would know a little more about the drug instead of what they learn in the couple hour seminar required for doctors to prescribe buprenorphine for matinence.

When you say North America, are you including the US or just referring to Canada? I've only been prescribed buprenorphine with naloxone by one doctor here in California, and I stopped seeing him for that reason. My last doctor prescribes buprenorphine only and the clinic I'm currently at offers the choice of Subutex or Suboxone, so it doesn't even matter that I'm pregnant. My rehab was the same way, totally open to prescribing bupe only and that was also the case for doctors I've seen in the past prior to treatment.
 
Really well I meant the US too because I haven't heard of many being prescribed subutex over there either but maybe the US is getting with the times. Now we just need Canada too. Well that may be only one state I swear I've seen many people on here from the US complaining the naloxone gives them side effects but their doctor won't prescribe subutex for them.
 
I find there is no advantage to waiting an extra 9 minutes to spit, either way I get the exact same effects (aside from a lower chance of headache with spitting early)
 
Pretty OT: Are you able to get Subutex in US? And i would suggest snorting xone, you need to use less that stuff. Heres nice little trick to get rid of naloxone.


1. Dissolve the drug in the cup of Suboxone tablet in a small amount of water.
2. Put in the freezer to cool down but watch out for freezing !
3. When it has cooled, the solution accumulates on the surface of a light/white "gel", collect the off as it is naloxone.
4. If you do not want IV that stuff let it dry , thus the water to evaporate and snort cup the remaining powder from cup.

Caution that you might know but just to make sure, buprenorphine should not be swallowed because the acid in the stomach destroys the substance accustomed caution, before it has time to make a difference!

^ Yes, Subutex as well as generic buprenorphine without naloxone is available in the US.
