im not sure if this thread is aloud but im just curious.

most ive been prescribed is 15mg valium a day than i was changed to:
1mg xanax & 10mg temazepam a day.

i think i heard that the most u can get prescribed is 4mg xanax, 40mg of valium or 60mg of temazepam but ud have to find a pretty dodgy dr.

i dont understand how ppl get heavily addicted to benzos from the amount a dr prescribed which would rarely be the max doses i listed.

i guess ppl must buy it from the streets. Im just curious as how ppl get enough supply to cause an addiction
like i said some drs ya lucky to get 5mg of valium a day.

btw im from australia. they only have a max 10mg temazepam pill, not 20mg. they only have 5mg valium, not 10mg. but they do have 2mg xanax. k-pins ive been told are only prescribed for epilepsy. which is unfortunate because it comes in a high strength pill & has a longer half-life to valium making it alot easier to come off.
valium comes in 50 packs here in australia, temazepam in 25 packs & xanax in 50. they're also not aloud to give repeats. what about outside australia?

im just curious. maybe this belongs in drug culture.

It's at the discretion of the physician - at least in the US, I've never heard of formal caps such as the 4g APAP limit or the 32mg buprenorphine cutoff recommendations.

Most physicians will not prescribe massive doses on par with what addicts are taking but the same is true for nearly any recreational pharmaceutical with the exception of pain medications for people with serious pain (this is of course excluding physicians who run pill mills and so forth). I don't really see the value in this thread in BDD or how it contributes to harm reduction. This is more the kind of discussion you find in drug culture or if you're curious about australia specifically, the Aus Drug Discussion forum.

^ What Cane said.. Anon, this is not the first time we've asked you to think more carefully before you start a new thread. You should know what BDD is about by now.
