So I am super excited to try and reach 50 posts so that I can have a blog on Bluelight. I already have an idea on what it is going to be about ( Erotic fiction stories and how societies view of love and sexuality is wrong).

Since everyone that posts in this part of Bluelight are presumably writers, how many of you actually use the blogging feature on here? If you do not blog on here, what blogging platforms do you use and recommend and why? Personally, I have a couple of blogs on Weebly and it seems to work okay. Wish I had the $ though to actually buy the domain name for my blogs though ~.~

For those people that do have blogs on here, any tips for generating views?

I have written a couple of blogs but I stopped because it felt too vulnerable. I like reading them still.

I had a livejournal about a hundred thousand years ago & actually kept it running for quite a few years...I stopped using it in the end because I'd outgrown my reasons for starting it and it felt like it had run it's course. I have thought about blogging again every now and then but I don't really feel like I have the motivation, time or discipline to stick it out as a regular thing anymore unfortunately. The last time I tried it my crazy ex started trolling me so I took that as a sign to let it go.

I'm looking to start a blog or facebook or similar business if possible.
I have a skill where I am a standout, but the category is kind of niche category. I do have access to several thousand fans of that niche category who could be on some level considered potential readers/customers. I do not have any money to invest at the moment (or I would be investing directly into my skill instead of trying to entrepreneur around it).

Not sure if there are any solutions, but open to ideas.

I know nothing about rules for generating income from selling information via a free blog.

What is the point of any writing? To put things into words. Express yourself in words. If it is a journal it is just for you. A blog is for you and to share your thoughts, experiences or opinions or whatever you write about with others.
