Well, after taking a 9-10 day break, I started shooting heroin again, as did my girlfriend. It's actually quite impressive how much our tolerance lowered (we went from needing 7 bags to get anything close to a nod, to shooting 3 and passing in and out for hours). However, unfortunately my veins have not had nearly enough time to heal. I think the time will come eventually when the act of trying to hit will truly become so painful that it will overpower my craving to get high because I already feel that way at times. However I would like to mention to others in my situation-try out 30-31g short tip needles. They're so much easier to use.

^I take it that you answered yes to the poll?;)

I'm glad you posted this, about your tolerance going down. It's one of the main things that pisses me off when it gets talked about in OD. Your tolerance will go WAY down in even 4-5 days to the point where half of what you used to shoot could kill you! State detox is free in my state, so people go in there when habits get to big so that they can actually feel it again without having to shoot $60 shots!

People on here love to ramble on about how slow opiate tolerance goes down....It's like, "I'm proud of you for citing a controlled study of 27 IV heroin users from Norway in 1973 that says it takes a year for opiate tolerance to go down, but have you ever simply experimented with fucking stopping shooting dope for a week and then trying it again?!"....

Pet peeve of mine!:! But, your tolerance does come right back within 2-3 days...so, you're still pretty much fucked!

The needle exchange here warns us how quickly tolerance can drop in even just 3 days. Its how most ODs happen

The moment you use the needle, you will think it was the best decision you've ever made. Then fast forward a year or two and you will regret it terribly.

Its a tattoo idea I've been thinking of (a member mentioned it and I wanna tweak it a bit): its a needle with two wings on it, one angel, one demon, and then coming out the point is a solution that grows into a mural of like good vs evil depiction.

Wait untill youve been using close to a decade. Your tolerance drops down but only in the short term before its right back where it was before you know it.

If youre still pretty new to the game then your tolerance isnt so set in cement and fluctuations in tolerance can be lot more dramatic than someone who has been using persistently.

Lik zneg i too can take a week or so off the needle and be able to really feel the rush and a stronger high. This only lasts a short period before most end up where they were. Hence the people in your state usung the system to throw back their tolerance.

Edit: Of course, you're on pharmaceutical morphine, which is a bit different....the only opiate I've ever had a love for is IV heroin....If you stop for a week and try to do your normal dose, you'll be lucky to come out of that nod....

This has killed a lot of people...thinking they still have the same tolerance....oral pills is a bit different..not 100% safe by any means, but more forgiving still....

An overdose is an overdose. Pills arent any less forgiving. Theyre a regulated pharmaceutical with known purity ec versus that of a bag of heroin. It makes dosing that much easier, especially for those ODing because theyve had a break and scored better gear than used to and just gone gung ho instead of taking a few bumps to initiate where theyre at.

Those ODing after a break are usually ignorant to such things, as ive seen and read so much of over the years.

Shit, environment is factored into ODs as well.

I feel you man. My veins are so battered from all these years and hefty IV coke binges that I don't think there's enough time in the world for them to heal. :\

I'm injecting again. But this time its melanotan II and its SC like insulin. Still clean though. Best of all worlds for a junkie: needles, tanning, boners, still clean.

I inject. But i hate it. Its a really hard thing to hide from family and friends. Always having to take your rig and spoon everywhere, and hide tracks/bruises. Fortunantly im only shooting Subutex right now..

I keep all my stuff in a sunglass case. Fits the syringes, cotton, and bags perfectly. Are you using tar that you need a spoon? I like how east coast dope just needs a bit of water and some stirring to get ready.

I'm not sure that shooting Subutex (a huge problem in France) in that much healthier than tar... hope your use a "micron-filter" or whatever ^^

I wanted to incorporate a needle on one of my tattoo's, however, I don't know if i'm too fond of the idea. I mean, it's going to draw unwanted attention, and if anyone ever asks about it I'm either going to have to lie about it or tell them it was one of those "stupid tattoo's in my younger days of rebellion"

Meh, not sure. Doesn't sound like a good idea, but it's so appealing.

My friend also keeps all of his equipment in his glasses case. Idk, I think it's a really bad idea. Not only do you have nowheres to hide the case, but if you ever get searched it's ALL right there, you know? God forbid it happens, but still.. It's too risky.
I keep all my shit in separate places, that way I have a better chance of getting away with whatever they didn't find.

Yeah I have a lot of tattoos that are symbolic of my addiction, but I'd never just outright get a needle tattooed on me, hah.

Just started trying it out. It's not as easy as it looks on TV! After my second week I had to go to hospital for cellulitis in my foot ;(.
