IMO it's the best way to get my DOC into my bloodstream. Anything else is just a waste and doesn't even feel like the same drug. Shooting heroin is so incredibly different from doing it any other way. The stigma of slamming sucks though--personally I think of snorting as being dirtier, nastier, smoking is wasteful and fucks up your lungs, and the bioavailability of most opiates orally is just shitty (example--I can shoot 2mg of Dilaudid, or eat about 4 times as much :( ). If you know what you're doing and educate yourself before you begin, there really aren't nearly as many 'health issues' regarding shooting as people would like to believe. And I happen to have fabulous veins ;-D. Always use clean works, don't leave shit laying around, learn about veins, get narcan, try to use with a pal or tell a friend when you're using (not as lame as it may seem, I have junkie friends in other cities and we tend to call each other up to chat while we're getting off. sometimes literally WHILE we're getting off. now that's a cool party trick right there--mainlining some dope with one hand whilst talking on your celly), use a micron filter for pills, do test shots, etc.
 
Never injected don't plan to... I can't bring myself to stick a needle in my arm and put some street drug into my bloodstream. Pills are even worse with the binders and fillers and shit. There's too many risks it's just not for me. I'll smoke, snort, and eat my shit all day :)
 
I never have, doubt I ever will.

I once had a friend IV me with 4mb hydromorphone in the for of Dilaudid. All I can say is DAMN!
 
i inject...although it seems not near enough these days...or maybe thats a good thing? im thinking a good thing.

im mainly an iv meth user when the chance/or when i feel like getting fried comes around. used to be a daily thing, now more of a monthly/twice monthly or even bi-monthly even. if that.

its been over a year since i was a regular i.v user, but still not a day goes without thinking it. wether it be meth, morphine or oxy. theres an animal inside that makes me stare down my veins and wish there were something prickly, warm and instantaneous inside.

i sometimes wish curiosity never got the best of me. still not sure wether it was a good or bad thing...

im guessing bad, but a learning curve at the same time.

now will someone give me a gram of crystal, or a vial or morphine :)
 
started bangin coke in az in the summer of 06 and all i can say was WOW i love it a few mos. later i had done some meth and WOWWW it was fucking awesome nothing could even come close in comparison i tried some H a couple times and wasn't too thrilled.. the only bad thing now is the fucking paranoia i get and i will just start wiggin out BAD haven't had the chance lately though im kinda happy because i won't stop if i find a connect but yet i'd love to go another round or 2 or 3...
 
I do not currently inject but my method of choice for cocaine or heroin is IV, but im a taking a hiatus away from both atm.
 
I started shooting cocaine when my nose was too messed up to sniff it anymore, after years of snorting oxys, coke and heroin. (Pretty much anything that would go up my nose!) I don't do it much anymore, but it is the best feeling in the world. I loved the whole process, fixing up the shot, seeing the blood register... I would be high before the drug hit my vein. Unfortunately for me I have tiny veins and one low point in my life was looking in the mirror in the morning and seeing the bruises all up my arms. I cried, it was harsh.

It was also very tough to hide. Always wearing long sleeves in the summer is a hard thing to explain.

I never shot up in front of anyone who I knew did not use drugs that way. The one time I did this guy said, "That's so cool, it's just like in the movies." It made me really angry with him and I told him that, no, it's not "cool", it's just a means to my end. Turns out that was prophetic, since just when I'd decided to put that behind me I found out that I had Hep C. The past came back and bit me in the ass. Something to think about.
 
Tried for the first time without a friend around to help me out and I broke the neddle and had to go to the doctor to get it removed.

How did the doctor treat you? Once I'd shot in my foot and it got really sore and swollen and finally I had to go to the doctor. I told myself I'd just be honest with him even though I was afraid. Well.... He actually REFUSED TO TREAT ME and told me I needed to get down on my knees and pray to his god. He gave me a religious pamphlet and left the room. Another doctor in the office treated me and said that I could've lost my foot if I had not come in. It was the most humiliating experience of my entire life. Of course I was also furious. Hell, I'm still furious thinking about it.
 
i used to HATE needles! like i would pass out and get sick when i had to have my blood drawn. then one day my buddies were injecting some dilaudid and i just had to try it. i had never done dilaudid before and OH MY GOD was it great! i had been smoking heroin for many years and so that naturally led to me injecting heroin and of course it was the best feeling i have ever had so instead of being a smoking junkie now i'm an injecting junkie and it is good sometimes and other times it sucks! i will get off the shit very soon though. BELIEVE THAT!!!
 
Ive been injecting 3-5 times a day for the last 10yrs and it's not a problem as long as you keep clean and rotate your injection sites,

I know what you mean the mixing up/injection routine changes and you start adding all these little rules to it so you dont get jinxed eg/Don't buy fits before youve scored ect, or mabe thats just me-lol.

The doctor was pretty cool about it. He asked me alot about how I was feeling emotionally, you know any anxiety problems, suicidal thoughts. He kept saying stuff about escapist behavior and asked me if I was willing to speak with a therapist. I told him i would consider it if he would just take the damn needle out of my foot. And he did. A little novicaine and he cut my arm open right in front of me pulled out the broken needle. Apparently I had missed the vein and the needle got caught in muscle tissue. Personally Ide have to say it wasnt all that bad of an experience.

I had a needle break off in my femoral vein and I had heard that a broken needle can travel along the vein and lodge in your brain or something equally important, I didnt really believe that but I was damn scared all the same. It was 2am and I called a non-emergency ambulance and went to the hospital, when I got there they spent 10mins running an ultra-sound machine over the site just to tell me something I already knew,and then they told me to go home and let it grow out!!!!
