good hygiene, a good technique, and running it under a warm tap or a warm wrap for a little bit afterwards has always done it for me. neosporin sprays, there's plenty of creams etc available to protect bacteria infecting the hole.

i myself wear a lot of long sleeves, and live on a property and am bitten by mosquitoes and midgies sometimes, so thats an alternate story the the untrained eye.

after i've IV'd there's only a tiny dot which is pretty hard to notice "what's been goin down" to the untrained as well. it's not as if it's a big black/red mark, unless it's an abcess or a badly missed shit

track marks are a whole different story

have a search on covering track marks and ye shall find

Is it true the thicker the skin is in the area the more you will bruise? I got good veins in my bicep area and lower down. Also whenever blood is drawn from me i bruise like crazy, is it because they are drawing all that blood or just dont know how to stick someone with a needle? Thanks for the help.

yer, it's associted with the muscle i'm quite certain (think i remember phrozen saying that and some others?) i have somewhat "muscular" biceps but have never had a bruise occur when i've used the upper arm.

the best place is the nice fat veins in the crook of your arm

oh and the gauge size (fatness of needle point) of a blood test is much larger than say a 27g insulin syringe, used for recreational users. there are lower gauges, but 27g terumo's re my fave

I wonder if I will feel the same thing (next to nothing) if I used the same amount of diluadid in my foot compared to my arm. In my foot, the bubble of liquid stayed in a ball under my vein for a hour or two but went away.

I'll never inject anything. It simply isn't a neccesary method of administration to get high and it's just unhealthy imo.

thats a pretty contradictory thing to say on a drug board:\ but i respect your choice. IV can be a very healthy way to administer under the right circrumstances (of course, the drugs aren't necessarily healthy)

IV is the only way I'll go. Back in my coke days, if I was offered shit and didn't have a rig then I wouldn't even do it. It's a total waste to snort, in my opinion.

My recent monster has been heroin. I won't do coke or meth anymore because I can't stand the come-down. The only veins I have left are on either side of my neck, which makes me feel degraded in some way. I don't have bad tracks on my arms or anything. I just blew all my veins out by the time I was 19. I see junkies that have been shooting for 30+ years and they still have veins...WTF??

Today is my second day clean off of H. I was clean for 5 years, included in that was a 2 yr. prison stint. I've been out for 3 yrs. and was doing really well up until I got a good connect and a bunch of bad shit happened that made me want to escape my life. My Grandpa just died and my Husband of 10 yrs. is about to go back to prison because he has sticky fingers. My Best Friend of 15 yrs. just ripped me off for $270 for crack. I can't pay rent on our house by myself, so I'm sure I'll lose it, and our cars... You don't know how many times I told him that all it takes is for him to get caught with a pair of socks and he'll do at least 18 mos. because of his background. The dumbass gets caught at FRY'S with an iPOD. He thinks he's invinsible. Anyway... off subject

Yes, when I party - it's IV all the way
(It's funny to see myself saying that. I used to despise people who used needles. I didn't want them in my apt. I looked down on them. Then, I met my Hubby! Isn't love grand? <3 lol)

The bubble under the vein in your foot was a miss. The veins in your feet roll around alot and they are easy to miss. If you had hit it right then there would not have been a bubble, and you would have felt it more.

Foot vs. Arm - If you do it in your arm you will feel it just a tiny bit faster (not much difference) than in your foot. After you do it in your foot you should hold it up as high as you can and it will hit you faster. It just takes a little more time for the drug to reach your brain if administered in your foot.

The only veins I have left are the ones in my neck....icky. Doing it in your neck hits you instantly. You feel it before you're done shooting it. A dangerous way of shooting. I would not recommend it to anyone. I've broken needles off in my neck before. I have a friend who broke one off in her neck and I guess it began to travel through her veins. She went to the E.R. and has a NASTY scar across her throat where they had to cut it out. It's about 5 inches long and an inch wide...not pretty. I consider myself lucky.

I definitley registered in my foot, I pulled back the plunger about 5x through out the shot and blood would flow in, by the 5th time it looked like all blood. Maybe the 8mg wasnt enough, which surpises me, although I have an extremely high tolerance to opiets. Id try the arm but just cant afford to leave any marks, i wear tank tops and short sleeves every day.

I just tried to IV dilaudid... same thing happened, got a pretty big bubble in my foot, went away in about 2 hours... felt no rush and I had up'd the MG... I just wanted to try and get that "rush" I always hear, and it seems impossible for me..

You tell me if this suonds off, I crushed the tiny pull into a powder, put it in a spoon, added about 4-5 CC's of fresh water, put a microfilter in, drew it all back.. tied off around my upper legg, had buldging veins in my feet, (i tried my arm before but you wouldnt believe the bruising that occured, it looks like someoen shot me with a paintball gun right in the arm, all purple size of a baseball) i went in almost flat against my foot (cleaned with alch. first), pulled back to create a vacuum, i registered, pushed a little in, re-registered, and continued to do so... I came out with less then a half CC left and didnt bother pushing my luck.. I did everything slowly, but about 10 mins after I had a bubble, which went away.. and felt absolutely nothing.. I have an extremely high tolerance to opiates, I used to do over 1000 mg of Oxycodone a day, but that was in the past... I tried doing 12 mg of Dilly.. and got felt nothing.. Ive heard of people with high tolerance doing 4 mg and flying off their horses..

Oh yeah, also when I went to squeeze the rest out of the needle into the toilet, there were soem parts of the blood that seperated from the rest and were like black.. I dont know what the hell that was.. anyone?

Haven't injected yet, although I am sure it will happen (though I have had IV morphine, dilaudid, and fentanyl in the hospital). I'm thinking about IMing ketamine for my first venture with needles.

No thanks.
Although it would probably feel "cleaner" than smoking cut uppers out of a broken light bulb over a candle (ick)
I stil..It's strange for me, like sex.. My veins! you keep out! :P

You said your tolerance is high, and that in the past you used 1000 mg of oxy a day. Do you know how many milligrams of oxy, or perhaps other opiates like morphine sulfate, hydrocodone, or opana it takes to get you high currently? That could help decide if this is a tolerance issue.

you pulled back to check 5 times and you said you were shooting slowly in the first place. 5X is a lot. Maybe the shot became so diluted in your blood it became ineffective? (Considering your process sounds like it took quite a lot longer than most user's).

The veins of the feet are tricky. I dont know any people that like using them IRL, Im not sure what ppl on the boards feel about using feet. IMO The arm is definitely preferable.

Shoot into the crook of your elbow and use a brand new needle 31-27 gauge and hit the vein on your first attempt, the mark on your arm will be virtually non existent. As someone said before the needles they use for taking blood are much bigger.
