i have taken a few pills every now and then. 2 miligams doesnt do much if anything to me. so before i redose should i take 4? i was only prescribed to take 2 at once...?? im taking dillaudid

4mg is a good dose for someone with a mild tolerance. Dilaudid tolerance goes up very quickly so be careful. Which ROA are you using ?

im just popping the pill. ill take 3 and let you guys know what hapens next

anymore information is still appreciated.

Are you taking them orally because you want to take them as prescribed/ only 'want' to take them that way? Also, are you aware of the bioavailability percentages? If not, refer to the megathread.

I dont mind not taking them as prescribed, and i dont know the bioavailability.

Bioavailability of oral hydromorphone(dilaudid) is not very high, somewhere around 35%. Intranasal is a bit higher at about 52%. IV hydromorphone is the most efficient ROA, with almost all of the dose being absorbed. I dont necessarily recommend shooting prescription pills, however.

Tolerance develops very rapidly with hydromorphone because it is very short acting. 4 mg of Dilaudid orally is a fairly low dose to someone who is somewhat opiate tolerant, especially if they have been taking hydromorphone.

Those bio percentages can vary drastically from person to person, they are just somewhat of an average.
