Opioids How many mg of hydromorphone should I plug?

Hi. Im new here and new to opiates as well. I have come by some 2 mg Dilaudid and after doing some reading I have decided that to get the most out of it ( besides IV ) I am going to plug it. I have researched plugging and decided this is the way I am willing to go.

Should I crush up the whole pill? Should I use 2 pills making the dose 4 mg?

I have no tolerance.

Will I still be able to function around the house after doing this? Like interact with people without them knowing etc? Or will it be ovbious?

well let me first start off by saying hydromorphone isnt the opiate to start off with if you have no tolerance. IMO maybe trying sniffing just 1mg first waiting an hour or so than sniffing another and titrating up till you get the desired effects. The reason i suggest starting with sniffing first is it has a lower B/A so you can get to know your dose first and then try plugging next time. Since the intra-nasal BA is about 55% and the rectal is about 75% my suggestion would be to take the intra-nasal dosage and cut it in thirds for your first rectal administration. I know that wasn't what you were looking for but its a much safer option IMO
 
I would whole heartedly agree about hydromorph being a bad opioid to start with... IME it has a tendancy to do nothing but make you feel numb and have you aggresively vomiting. But with a ''truely zero'' tolly I'd say go for 1mg plugged, and work from there.
 
K 1mg it is. How will it effect me since it is my first time? Will I know what I am doing or will I be a pile of numb? Also will i be able to interact with people? I have to hang out with my inlaws soon and want to take it on the day. Will they know?
 
I have found differing numbers (nasal-50%, rectal-30 % )

Either way, if you are opiate naive, I agree, Hydromorphone is not the safest opiate to begin with, but if you plan on going ahead with it, I say just eat it. Yes, it kind of makes me cringe (being an IV drug user) to think of it, but take the pill orally, and see how it effects you.

Opiates generally produce a mellow, subtle and euphoric buzz. Unless you really overdo it, it's pretty easy to fool the general public that you are not intoxicated.
