How many hours of sleep do you function on?

I can function on 6 hours just like I do on 8.

It is really no big deal. It matters more for me that I wake up early, than it does that I get 8 hours of sleep. I've functioned properly on virtually no sleep when I had to, but what matters is how you sleep on a regular basis. Try to follow routines in terms of waking and sleeping.

To the OP, try to get at least 6 hours of sleep, ideally 7 or 8. There really is no getting around the years we've evolved to suit the rhythm of the day. I suggest you try to budget your time and activities well during the day, and arrange them so that the more strenuous things are during the morning/afternoon, and you are winding down as the light levels decrease.
 
I can function on 5 hours but it is not pretty.
I get about 7 hours of sleep during the work week.
I automatically wake up around 630a weekends but can fall back to sleep a couple of hours.
 
depends. if i was well-rested the day before, i can function at 95% on 3-4 hours for a full day. but i'll need to catch up that night or at the latest the next day. i've usually got about two days worth of reserve before shit gets out of hand.

normally i sleep 6-8 depending on drinking/running/stress.
 
9 hours. 7 or less hours (without drugs) I often get symptoms of sleep deprivation in the afternoon (loud inner voice/dialogs, severe irritability, anxiety, feeling sick). Can be fun having a conversation with random people in my head. Is this common?
